Volume 170
Thank you Joyce!
1. April showers bring May flowers, or so the saying goes. When did you last 'shower' attention on someone or have attention 'showered' on you? Did you love it, or did all that attention make you squirm?
2. Share a favorite 'spring break' memory. Not talking about just the 'college spring break' thing, but any favorite spring break memory you'd like to share. Keep it family friendly please!
I don't remember us doing anything special with the kids for Spring break other than getting excited for Easter. Now of course Spring break is seldom attached to Easter week!
3. It's National Pecan Month...are you a fan? If so, what's your favorite dish that calls for pecans?
4. 'Put all your eggs in one basket', 'egg on your face', 'rotten egg', 'walk on eggshells', or 'a good egg'...which egg-spression could most recently be applied to your own life?
I'm walking on eggshells most of the time!
5. In my experience, you get what you pay for !
6. What's a favorite song with the word rain in its title or lyrics?
7. What does the word hope mean to you?
8. Insert your own random thought here.
Because I have nothing....

Gordon Lightfoot! How can anyone not like that song? I also like "Here Comes the Rain Again" (Eurhythmics),
I used to pick up pecans for a farmer who had an orchard, and get paid by the pound for my work. I love pecans - plain, in brownies, in salads, in pecan-crusted salmon...
We picked the same song! lol It was a good one. Enjoy your day!
I'm not very comfortable with too much attention, either. ;-)
Another terrific post! I don't like being in the lime-light. I love Pecan pie, and around one certain member of our family, I always feel like I have to walk on eggshells. That person lives out of state, however, so the contact is minimal.
Oh my mouth watered at your picture of pecan tassies. I want one! Another great song about rain. Have a great day!
I love your last picture, Debby; too cute! I can imagine you do walk on a lot of eggshells, but I am glad that you do have hope; I think life can be so much more better just having that hope!
We never did much with the kids on spring break either when we lived in California because the weather is usually so fine and there are things to do here, but I know when we were living in Montana, "everyone" went away for spring break since the weather was so cold, so they went warm places. We never did though, stayed put and found some fun activities to do there.
I too enjoy pecans!
betty
laughing at the last insert. i don't like pecans. and i've walked on plenty of egg shells, too. :)
Your pecan yummies sound delish! Have a wonderful Wednesday!
i walked on eggshells at work for 13 years and now i am FREE.. love you random thought. i have a friend i will send that to... love pecans, just crack and eat, also love anything made with them from candy to cake and pie and icecream even pancakes
I say it's better to be overly optimistic than a pessimist : )
Singin' in the Rain!
I love LOVE pecans! I like eating them just about every day - in my yogurt, in my salad, with my roasted sweet potatoes, or just plain! Yum!
Hope to me means Jesus Christ.
Oh lord now I have that song stuck in my head ... lol
I hear you I walk on egg shells a lot too :(
I don't believe I've ever heard of pecan tassies, but they look delicious!
Glad your hope is secure! :-)
Hoping that you won't be walking on those egg shells forever ((hugs))
You're right, most of the time you get what you paid for, but sometimes we get less :(
Those pecan tassies sure do look delicious :)
Mmmm, those pecan tassies look wonderful. recipe?....christine
I do know you are a good egg! I like the word Hope too - it gives life meaning. And do you like pecan pie - I love it.
I thought of that song too.
Funny picture!
Thanks for visiting too.
I like Pecan pie. Enjoyed reading your post!
Hi Debby, I feel the same way about "hope." It's been years since I had pecan tassies but they are so tasty. Wishing you a nice day.
I'm on a blog break while we prepare to move.
I thought of the same song…
Yup - my mom does pecan tassies for Christmas too!
Ha! That last one made me laugh, and I needed a little laugh this morning! :)
Those pecan tassies sure look good! :)
My daughters aide made pecan tassies for my surprise birthday party last Sat. They were delish.
Loved "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head". BJ Thomas was one of my favorite singers. And Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid was such a fun movie.
