1. What's your favorite time of day? Why?
I think I will have to say the evenings, especially in the Fall with my favorite programs being new. The day is almost over, I'm not on my computer and it feels like I can finally relax.
2. Waffle iron, toaster, coffee maker, mixer, blender...which small appliance would you say most needs replacing in your house?
Probably the waffle iron, it's the one item I haven't used in forever.....
3. It's National Grouch Day (October 15)...what's something that makes you feel grouchy?
Well my list is long, I seem to be a grouch all the time lately. I will say internet or cable issues, they make me grouchy for sure......
4. Ever been to Canada? Is that a country you'd like to visit? According to Trip Advisor, the top ten best destinations in Canada are-Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City, Victoria, Calgary, Niagara on the Lake, Niagara Falls, Whistler, and Halifax. Which city would you most like to see?
No I have never been but would love to visit someday. I would love to see Niagara Falls but honestly it would be a joy to visit all of them.
5. What was your favorite food (or one of your favorites) when you were a child? Is that still a favorite?
6. Do you cry easily?
I didn't cry for many years. I went through a lot of painful times during my divorce 31 years ago and I became hardened. Even though I gained wisdom and became a better person through the pain I just couldn't cry. Now I can't seem to turn it off! To be honest with you it was pretty embarrassing not to be able to cry. I was at the funeral for our best friends son 13 years ago and never shed a tear.
7. Have you started your (gasp!) Christmas shopping? If so when, and how much? If not, when will you even begin thinking about it?
Yes I have some Christmas presents that I have bought. It was about two months ago and it was because of some great deals and coupons so I decided to order the family tradition of receiving pajamas at Christmas.
8. Insert your own random thought here.

I get grouchy over pain in my abdomen. Especially if the meds haven't kicked in yet! Or if I can't sleep because of it.
The one positive about the way we in our family celebrate Christmas: no presents at all, so no shopping for it. Of course I do buy some, mainly for myself!
Thanks for reminder of what today is... I will light my candle tonight.
i have a lot that makes me grouchy, too. my coffee maker definitely gets the most use in my house (i have a back-up in the pantry in case the first breaks down - i'll never go without again!) :)
burgers from birth to age 70, cried at the drop of a hat my whole life until 10 years ago when i quite crying for some reason...now i tear up at movies and when a blogger loses a pet, but no crying. i was 16 when i tasted pizza, the kind that you buy in a box and make it yourself, pizza is my second fav food. i have a friend who is a total grouch and now imight send her your post.. LOL
I just checked and couldn't believe I wasn't a follower on GFC. I did remedy that! Crying is a difficult thing. Tears (or lack thereof) don't always show what's in the heart.
I am thinking of a couple people I know for National Grouch day.
And I know what you mean about night - but for me my time alone is more in the am. Hope you have nice day.
I'll have to remember to light a candle tonight, Debby. I think it would be fun to visit Canada sometime too. My parents honeymooned at Niagra Falls, I remember my mom telling of their trip; it would be fun to see it.
I don't think we ever owned a waffle iron now that I think of it.
betty
Enjoyed your answers! =) Love the idea of Christmas PJs.
Blessings,
Valerie
Computer issues can make me grouchy too. We lived without them for years, but now if the Internet is out for a few minutes we get a little nuts : )
Another great Hodgepodge! I am a total blubber-head and can cry at the drop of a hat - happy or sad. I cry if I see some else crying. Switched to water-proff mascara years ago! :) Computer troubles make me grouchy, too!
ugh tell me about it, cable and internet issues are nuisance sometimes especially if i can't fix it. I like being the one to fix things for other people. I love the waffle iron! Mine still works pretty good tho. It's my blender that needs to go. :) Have a great week!
I'm lighting a candle for pregnancy & infant loss today too!
Pizza is so yummy!
I can understand about a hardened heart after divorce. It took me about a year of self-reflection and growth to find myself again after divorce.
Have a wonderful week!
I'm with ya' on the cable/internet issues! The price of it all is enough to make us grouchy, too...
I'll try to remember to light a candle at 7!
Mmmmmmm that pizza looks good!
I have thought about our two babies we lost previously, I had not heard of the candle lighting, so sweet.
I have always loved pizza.
I am just recently learning there are many ways to make pizza. Not just pepperoni & cheese..LOL
There's taco pizza, chicken pizza, even pizza made with cauliflower crust. Go figure...
Well, I'm a bit late reading your post...I did not know about lighting a candle. What a great idea.
i love the early mornings when it is very quiet
So much fun reading your answers! I'm gonna play along...

Your answers are funny....
Things to do with kids in Seattle
Glad to know someone else has started Christmas shopping besides me. I catch a lot of guff for starting the season early, but it's my favorite time of year - it shoudl last at least 3 months. :)
I also have an issue with turning off the tears - not sure which would be worse - none at all or too many. At least my husband's getting used to it and doesn't freak out every time I get weepy.
I cry super easily. When I'm sad, when I see something sentimental, when I'm angry - you name it.
Pull out your waffle iron! We have homemade waffles most Saturday mornings, when things are more relaxed for us.
I continue to love the precious doggy pictures in the left column of your blog!
I have started Christmas shopping too. I already did the gift wrapping for 3 people, who came to visit that I know I won't see again before Christmas, and sent their gifts home with them. I figure it saves me the trouble of shipping them!
I like the evenings too.
I cry over EVERYTHING. i might too emotional! lol. I love Christmas, I might shop all year. i look for sales. :)
