1. Do you manage your own money or do you have a financial planner who helps in some way? Do those kinds of conversations stress you out? A lot or a little?
We do not have a financial planner. Money and retirement stress me out a lot!
2. The second week of October is Pet Peeve Week. Off the top of your head, share TWO of your current pet peeves.
People on their phones in the car is always my number one pet peeve.....what are they thinking???? I'm not sure about another one other than I'm not into football and it takes my husband away all weekend.
3. What is one thing you'd like to learn right now, this very week if you could?
I don't have an answer for this right now......
4. How concerned are you about the recent health related news concerning Ebola? How about Enterovirus D68?
I am very concerned about both of these.
5. Garfield, Nemo, or Tigger-your favorite orange cartoon character?
I would have to say Nemo.
6. I'm going to see Gone Girl with my neighborhood book club this week. So often books made into film are disappointing. What's a book turned film you thought was well done, in that the casting was 'like you pictured' when you read the book, and the film plot remained mostly true to the book plot?
Since I am not an avid reader and usually see just the movie I'm not very qualified to answer that however I did think Water for Elephants followed the book well.
7. What is one story your family always tells about you?
Since we just went to our 45 year class reunion I'm going to tell the story about graduation night. My parents had a family party for me afterwards at the house. I asked them if I could have a few people over and it turned out to be a huge party in our basement with kids from school and alcohol was involved. Family wasn't very happy......

Thank you for all the wonderful birthday wishes and well wishes. I went to have the CT Scan on Friday, my birthday, and they ended up doing a Vent and Profusion test instead. They didn't want to do another iodine test because of my kidneys. They said my kidneys are normal for my age but I had just had an iodine test the week before with the angiogram. So the Vent and Profusion test checks out the functions of your lungs. The test was normal so we still have no answers as to why I feel like I can't breathe!

Ugh, still no answers? Praying.
sorry to hear there are no conclusions yet. I love Tigger... and am also very concerned about all the virus going around. i had to laugh when i read your pet peeve. phones in cars are my number one. but the laugh came from on another blog this morning she and i both read this to be pet peeves as in about pets. we both answered with peeves about people and pets and when i read yours i had to read the question twice to figure out it mean just any pet peeve. hope that made sense
so frustrating when you can't get answers :(
Water for Elephants... yep - loved that movie/book too
so sorry you still don't have any answers! with all the wonders of modern medicine, sometimes we're still very much in the dark...
Water For Elephants - both book and movie were excellent. I had forgotten about that one!
Sorry you don't have an answer yet. I have missed some blogs, during our vacaton. Did you have a stress test? I know how frustrating it is to not have a diagnosis when you are hurting.
Let's hope the doctors get to the bottom of the problem soon. I have started a meme on Monday called Memory Monday and would love to have you join in.
Water for Elephants is one I need to see or read still. Hope you can breathe soon- no fun!!
Water for Elephants? What's that book about? I've never heard about it.
Oh gosh, so sorry you're still dealing with a mystery regarding your health. I do hope and pray it is resolved soon. Did I miss your birthday? Happy Birthday!! May the year ahead be filled with happiness!
So sorry you still don't have answers.
Thank you for your prayers for our new baby. :)
The not knowing is so difficult! Praying for you and for wisdom for the doctors. ...I agree about driving while on the phone.
Oh no, still no answers :(. You're in my thoughts and prayers my dear!
Debby, I'm sorry to hear that you still have no answers to your problems. I know it's frustrating. You're in my prayers.
Well we have not gone to a financial planner and I think it is one of the biggest mistakes we've ever done! Wish we had been smarter.
Hope they find out something soon.
Ugh, it's so frustrating when, after so many tests, you still don't have answers... prayers for healing and for peace through the process!
Oh, I remember "Water for Elephants". I have read the book and seen the movie! It was pretty good!
Continued thoughts for your health!
I enjoyed the picture in your side bar of your Cairn Terrier. We had good friends MANY years ago with a Cairn Terrier that looked just like your Toto. His name was Benjamin.
I hope your breathing gets easier!
Have not seen the movie, "Water for Elephants." I enjoyed reading the book. Prayers concerning your health-hope something is found out soon for you.
Hi Debby! If I could learn one thing this week, I'd love to learn another language. Spanish or Italian I think.
I read Water for Elephants, but didn't see the movie. Was it scary? That husband...eww.
You remain in my prayers and I hope that you will find some relief soon. It's so great to see your post today :)
Blessings,
Ceil
I remember years ago a financial planner talking with us and I didn't want to part with the money he suggested because I wanted the "now". I regret years later because we are nowhere close to anything with retirement that would be comfortable.
I too am concerned about Ebola. It is scary it is on our continent.
betty
I'm sorry you still don't have answers. How frustrating! Do they have plans for other tests?
I'm so sorry the doctors haven't been able to find answers for you. :-( I hope they can find something soon to help you!
Hope they get things figured out soon and that you'll be feeling better quickly.
I agree...it irritates me to see people texting and driving.
I'm very scared too…
I'd go with Nemo as well!
This medical thing has really been drawn out hasn't it? I'm sorry.
I don't have a financial planner either. And yes, sometimes I worry about having enough to retire.
I have a friend who is constantly talking on her phone while driving.
#1 - it scares me
#2 - it's rude...why did I come along.
I hope they find out the problem to your medical issues soon. So sorry it's so long and drawn out.
Blessings!
