Joyce's hodgepodge!
1. When did someone last suggest you 'chill out'? Or, when did you last tell someone (or want to tell someone) to 'chill out'? Or, when did you last tell yourself to 'chill out'?
Happens all the time here in our house. All of the above apply. Sometimes I do take a chill pill!
3. "An adventure is only an inconvenience rightly considered. An inconvenience is only an adventure wrongly considered." G.K. Chesterton
Your thoughts? When did you last experience either an adventure or an inconvenience? How did you see it at first, as an adventure or an inconvenience? Does it feel the same in hindsight?
I think I would have to say driving to Adam & Tristen condo to meet their movers. It was an adventure that had the inconvenience of 5 1/2 hours of driving in traffic that day, a stolen key and a man who wasn't very nice. I knew this adventure would involve a long drive and it ended up being an adventurous day which I was happy to do for them.
4. A Wendy's Frosty, root beer in a frosty mug, or a frosted chocolate cupcake...of these three, which one is your favorite 'frosty' treat?

I am going to say a Root Beer Float but I do enjoy the Wendy's Frosty's too!
5. Would you say your life so far this year has been more like a circus or a symphony? Explain why.

It's been a circus, bring on the symphony please.....
6. Since it's a 'snow day' here, what's your favorite song containing the word 'white'?

Definitely "White Christmas" with Bing Crosby singing.
7. If you had to leave the city you currently live in, what would you find the hardest to leave behind?

We plan to leave California when Mark retires and I would have to say the mountains. Growing up and living in Illinois for 38 years of my life I must say that I have been in aw of the mountains ever since we moved here.

Debby, I'm so sorry your life has been more of a circus lately, but I think we usually go from circus to symphony and back to circus because life is always changing and taking us to new challenges. I do hope though that you will have some symphony real soon. Will you be going back to Illinois when Mark retires?
Frosty Frosty Frosty first, root beer float is a close 2nd. notice how i went straight to the comment that is on FOOD.. I loved that video to and it made my heart melt, so did the one of the french bulldog singing in the car.. i watched it 3 times.
i can't remember an adventure and the only inconveniences were repairs to AC twice and repairs to plumbing twice and a 1200 dollar tree to cut down all in one year.
Oh I loved the video! A definite heart melter. Enjoy your day!
Target is like that, isn't it? Such a fun store to go and roam around and look at the different things available to spend money on. Depending on where you move, you still might be close to mountains. Here in Prescott, lots of pretty views of not necessarily tall mountains, but similar things as seen in the Grand Canyon. I love root beer floats and Wendy's frosties. It would be hard to choose between the two myself.
betty
Hey girl I am with you on the chill pill! Did I tell you that Kelly got engaged on Sunday. Wedding is October 2.
cupcake with a wendy's frosty on the side. might as well go for broke. :)
Enjoyed your answers! So have you taken any chill pills lately? I like your Random, only mine would have to say Wal-Mart. My hubby refuses to shop at Target because they would not let Salvation Army put the red buckets in front of the store during Christmas Season. He is really firm on that. He said without Salvation Army there would of been many Christmases that him and his bros and sisters would not of had Christmas when growing up. They grew up in a Children's Home. So I understand his point.
I would love to retire near the beach.
But, it looks like we'll be here til we're gone.
I've known others who live in the mountains also, who would miss them terribly if they moved. On the other hand, I knew a woman who lived in a flat and barren part of Iowa who moved to Wisconsin and always felt penned in by all our trees. :-)
That video is just too precious, Debby! I'm a huge fan of mountains, so they'd be hard for me to leave, too. Where are you planning to move?
We love Frosty' s and sometimes head to Wendy's in the evening, for a special treat ! Love the video, makes so me happy. Have a blessed day!
White Christmas excellent white choice. :) I love that song and movie too. :) Snowwwwwwwwww though is my favorite song. The adventure sounds crazy.
Heehee about Target. So true! You just wander around and see things and think they are a good buy so add them to your cart.
Mountains are so beautiful. I can see why you would miss them.
Ah yes i love the mountains! I loved hiking in So Cal and seeing the beautiful view of LA's skyline. Recently we hiked up Griffith Park. Our favorite had been Mt. Wilson. It's a lot of work but its worth it at the end!
I haven't had a shake in a while either, probably last summer after a late night Giants game.
Nice to visit you today! I haven't done the Hodgepodge for a couple of weeks. How are you feeling?
We enjoyed the mountains so much on our vacation this summer. So pretty!
I definitely missed the mountains when we moved to SC. Love the last quote! So true!!!
I love Bing Crosby's "White Christmas." But of the fristy treats, give me an icy beer any day.
The people in my life have learned it's not a smart idea to tell me to "Chill out"! LOL It doesn't go over well!
I'm guessing you're going to move near the kids? That's what I want to do! I think my year has started with a little too much circus as well.
I love Wendy's Frosties. I wish they had a lighter version though. They are pretty high in calories.
Hi, Debby!
Just wanted to wish you a wonderful weekend!
DH told me our weather calls for snow next week :)
The only time I wouldn't mind it if someone told me to chill out is if they were handing me a Wendy's frosty while they say it.
