Volume 208
Thank you Joyce!
1. Have you ever written a love letter? Have you written one recently? Had one written to you? Did you keep it?
I am sure that I have written one back in the day but I don't think I have written one recently. I have a few from Mark that were written back when we were dating.
2. What's a movie that ends in a way you especially love?
2. What's a movie that ends in a way you especially love?
Since I was just over reading a post that mentioned "Sleepless in Seattle" I'm going to go with that movie, however there are a lot of movie that I love that have beautiful ending.
3. Something that makes your heart sing? And for those of you who are parents, I mean something besides your children that makes your heart sing?
Right now I am going to say that when I see stories about people who have done something generous for others makes my heart sing.

Well I will admit that sometimes I do my housework half-heartedly. Sometimes week after week, year after year the routine just gets to me. Wish I could just wiggle my nose!
5. Tuna fish salad-yay or blech? If you said yay, how do you like your tuna salad prepared? Hey, this is the Hodgepodge, right?

Tuna fish salad gets a yay from me. Most days I just mix mayo with tuna but I do like it prepared with other items too like celery.
6. What's something you 'know by heart'?
6. What's something you 'know by heart'?
I'm going to say the 23 Psalm, The Lord is my Shepherd. I've never been good at remembering Bible verses but this one has always stayed with me.
7. In the spirit of Valentine's Day, what two or three word phrase would you write on a conversation heart for someone you love? That someone could be a spouse, child, parent, cousin, bestie...anyone at all whom you love.

Love You More

My colonoscopy went well yesterday and I am glad to have that behind me. No pun intended!
Adam is coming to town this weekend and I am very excited to see him again. Wish Tristen was coming too but I believe we will see her in March and I can't wait.
I got a "high five" from Mark when I told him we can stay home on Valentine's Day and make some steaks on the grill. He got GrillGrates for Christmas, they help cook your meat quickly and to perfection without burning them.

Glad all is well will your test. I do remember when I use to write a few letters. Long Long Ago.
I love Sleepless in Seattle. I am glad your test went well. I loved your conversation heart answer....my daughter and I always sign off on Skype with that response. It made me smile.
So glad your colonoscopy went well ... 10 years until the next one, right? ;-)
Our grill is buried under snow and ice, but I would love a grilled steak for Valentine's Day. Gonna be awhile before we can grill : ) Hubs and I never go out for Valentines. We always find a recipe to try and we cook together. I look forward to it-we eat out often, so I don't miss that. Enjoy having your son in town! And so glad all went well for you yesterday.
glad 'that' went well! :) your heart is singing at getting to see adam again. :)
first things first. what makes my heart sing? Dogs, big ugly dogs, i love dogs.. my heart sang when i saw a bird dog in a header last week. Cows make my heart sing to
i have never written a love letter or received one. i am not a letter writer or card sender.. i do have the love letter from 1944 that my granddaddy sent me. forgot about that. i was 2 months old then.
tuna salad is a nay but if i came to your house and you served it i would eat it. as long as it had no celery or onions in it.
I know about 20 verses by heart..
Oh, I totally agree with you on #3.
Hubby & I say `Love You More`, `To The Moon and Back`...to each other, before we retire for the night.
Glad all went well with your testing, Debby. How long will Adam be in town for? I think it is good to eat in on the holidays like valentine day. Less crowded and more relaxed.
Betty
So glad your test went well, and is behind you :)
I totally understand your excitement about seeing your son. That should make a great Valentine's Day weekend!
I think we all must have memorized the 23rd Psalm, during our youth :) I know all of the verses, just sometimes not in the right order!
Good answer for #3.
It's been a while since I've seen Sleepless in Seattle, I like that.
Glad your procedure went well for you.
Debby, I am so glad to hear that your "behind" test went well. The prep for those things is certainly the worst part. Isn't time with a son a precious thing? We love time with ours and that he is so faithful to check on us almost every week from cold and dreary northern Indiana. Have a great week, my friend.
I have a colonoscopy last year. Yuck and no fun! No one can warn you enough. I've never seen Sleepless in Seattle. I'm going to make my husband watch it with me!
Sleepless is Seattle is one of my favorite endings, too! Glad you had your colonoscopy "behind you." I keep putting mine off. Hope you enjoy the rest of your week, Debby!
Thank you Betty.
Thank you, it should be a great weekend.
I'm glad your medical exam came out okay. You would think that medical science could come up with a better, less invasively humiliating way to do that exam. I mean they transplant organs for crying out loud.
Sorry for the rant but your blog was listed next to mine on Joyce's Hodgepodge blog list. You have a nice blog page.
Always enjoy ypur answers Debby. I ditto what you said for #3.
Hi Debby! Happy Valentines Day! Have a fun weekend with your family and hubby :) I like tuna salad too. I like it with mayo, celery (sometimes some nuts), covered with a slice of cheese and broiled. Yum!
I don't know much by heart, but I do know how to get to my daughter's house without a map. She lives in a neighboring state.
Always fun to visit!

Glad all was well with your colonoscopy. The worst part is the prep the day before. Ugh. Have a Happy Valentine's Day...enjoy your steaks!
I have written love letters - years ago too - and I am sure i got some back - but once you have been married 41 years - well ............
Our grill is under snow, but when it gets a bit warmer, I'm going to grill. Beef, chicken, and salmon are so good grilled!! Gotta watch that movie.
Glad the colonoscopy is over and everything is okay!
I think it's safe to say I ALWAYS do my housework half-heartedly.
Great movie- I love Sleepless in Seattle!
So glad the colonoscopy went well. I've had a few and they are not so bad but they preparation is the worst!
Steaks in the grill sound heavenly. Yummmy.
Happy Valentine's!!
I love Sleepless in Seattle too, great pick!
Steaks at home sounds like a great date night!
You know, I think I should write my hubby a love letter.
