.....was perfect! Mark and I spent a few hours in the town of Carlsbad in San Diego. We haven't been in awhile and it turned out to be a perfect day. The weather at the beach was wonderful.
We like to go eat at Jay's and some of the Flower Fields were in bloom. Carlsbad is an awesome town, one of our favorites. It would be a dream come true to be able to retire there.
We didn't pay to go inside to see the fields this year. We did that a couple of years ago and you can see photos here. We do love the Armstrong Nursery and bought some new plants for our backyard. I also like to go in and pick up a bouquet of the Ranunculus flowers.
We walked on the beach which was awesome. Nothing better than feeling the sand on your feet and the water tickling your toes. I could only go so far so I sat on some large rocks while Mark continued walking a little longer.

Beautiful flowers.
Even though I live close to the sea, there is no beach here (it's further down the island), so no feet in the sand for me. Besides that: the temperatures are still only a few degrees above freezing, so getting my tootsies out would be a very cold experience.
The ranunculus are gorgeous, and my toes are longing for that beach!

Sounds like my kind of day! I love ranunculus and yours are gorgeous. Would love to see some color here, but at least the snow is melting. I sat out back for a few minutes yesterday and soaked up the sun (in my jeans and long sleeves, but it was semi-warm). I did take my shoes off : ) Happy Easter Debby!

I've only been to San Diego once, and I loved it! I would really like to take my daughters there.

Beautiful place! I was kind of sad when Legoland came in and took over some of the flower fields. It is nice for tourism, but changed the atmosphere of the area I think. That and the outlet malls. But I do love Carlsbad and the beach is just gorgeous there!
