Volume 215
Join in the fun!
Thank you Joyce.
1. In honor of the date...when were you last sent on a 'fool's errand'?
I can't think of one and no one messes with me on April Fool's Day!
2. Peter Rabbit, Bugs Bunny, The Energizer Bunny, The Easter Bunny, Rabbit (Pooh's friend), White Rabbit (of Wonderland fame), or the Trix Rabbit...which of these 'famous' rabbits can you best relate to right now?
"Rabbit: regards himself as practical and tends to take the lead, though not always with the results that he intends."
This might be me only taking the lead is more about controlling others and the results are never good.
3. When did you last find yourself scrambling to get something done? Explain.
I'm always scrambling to get things done because I'm very good at waiting until the last minute. That's when I do my best work! Probably getting prescription information ready for a doctors appointment would be the last time I scrambled.
4. Last time you were up at the literal crack of dawn? Why? Last time you stayed up all night? Why?
I'm usually up at the crack of dawn (3:00 am) when I am flying across the country to catch a 6:30 flight. Actually staying up all night happens more than I would like because I am worried about something that I have no control over.
5. Crack a book, crack a bottle, crack a joke, crack an egg...which have you done most recently?
Cracked a bottle.......
6. What's your favorite part of a typical weekend? Tell us why that's so.
Friday night pizza is always a favorite even though I don't eat the crust. We normally watch a DVD's from Netflix on Friday and Saturday evening.
7. What's something I'd find on a bookshelf in your home? Other than a book I mean!
Most likely collectible figurines of some kind. Mark has a lot of ducks and cigar boxes on his bookshelves in his office. This was from two years ago. There are more books now but as a rule Mark reads a book and leaves it at the airport for someone else to read. He only saves certain ones.
8. Insert your own random thought here.

Love your #8. And you're right about controlling others. ;-)
Crack a book?? I have never heard that expression before!
I have two complete bookcases dedicated to dvd's. One of those bookcases is actually more than half full with Christmas dvd's!!
I'm so with you on #3. Let's hope we can both be done with the doctors soon.
I hang on to fewer books these days. I read them and pass them on to someone else, which feels good. I forgot about our recent scramble with a health insurance issue. Anything involving the govt. feels like jumping thru hoops. Hope you have a happy Easter!
there are zero book shelves in my home.. i never scramble to do anything since i plan ahead and make myself crazy getting things done then have to Wait for the time to use it. that doesn't include housework, i just ignore that.
I crack a book (kindle) every day of my life, 365 days a year.
i am also up before the crack of dawn 365 days a year and have only stayed up all night when i worked in er back in 1980 and work the 11 to 7 shift. I have never stayed up past midnight but 3 times not counting work...
our weekends are exactly the same as our week days since we are both retired. we can't tell one day from a nother.
I forgot it was April Fool's Day :) I like how Mark leaves the book at the airport, good way to "recycle" it :)
betty
i like the airport gifting. :) and i love your friday nights. and i crack a bottle, too.
I love that 'no one messes' with you :) You go girl!!
We used to do Pizza Fridays & I miss that! I need to tell the hubs to start this tradition again!
I know what you mean for #2. I love that your husband leaves his book behind at the airport for someone else. What a great idea!
It stresses me out if I wait until the last minute to do anything! I probably need to chill out more :)
I associate Friday nights with pizza, too--and I eat the crust, even though I shouldn't. It's the best part!
Love your random thought for today :) Unfortunately, it's so true.
I like the caption! Its hard to trust people today, but some things are so obviously fake you don't fall for it. :)
I don't have a full shelf of bobbleheads, i have about 5 or 6. i have collected them over the years when they're given out at baseball games.
I like the "no one messes with me" comment, but wondered if that is only on April 1 or does it carry over? Have a great weekend Debbie.
That's neat that he leaves the books for others to find. I donate a lot of mine, but always keep my favorites. Even though I never find time to reread them!
I cracked a book last but I crack a lot of water bottles too! And I can't remember the last time I stayed up all night - and when the last time that I got up at the crack of dawn - when is that? lol I do get up at 6:30 in the am.
My life is a daily scramble and I'm almost always up at dawn. Cracked an egg for breakfast and my weekends are always the same...I do love my routine! My travel journals are on my book shelves, along with my books.
curious...why is my blog listed as H*Thistle Cove Farm on your sidebar? Have I don't something wrong? Entirely possible, donchaknow...LOL
I like the idea of leaving a book at the airport. What a nice thing to do! Doesn't sound like sleep is a luxury you enjoy very often. Have a wonderful Easter.
April fools day has gotten so tame over the years.. I miss the good old days
We get Netflix movies every weekend, too. This past weekend, we just watched Big Hero 6. It was good. I loved your random thought, too, it was hilarious... :)
Toward the end of March I told my boyfriend clearly that I did NOT like April Fool's pranks and I would not react well.
