WEDNESDAY HODGEPODGE

Volume 221
Thank you Joyce.
What are you waiting for, join in today!

1.  Did you make someone laugh yesterday? Was it intentional?

Actually I believe I made a few people laugh yesterday (Monday) intentional and unintentionally. I often say something that comes out wrong and get laughs for it!

2. What's a simple question with a complicated answer?

What do you want to do with the rest of your life?

3. Rhododendrons or azaleas...you have to choose. Are either currently blooming in your yard?

I pick Azales which we have in Southern California. We don't have any at this house but I saw several yesterday (Monday) at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park in Escondido, CA.

4. May 21st is National Waitstaff Day. Have you ever worked as a waiter/waitress? How would you rate the experience? What was the best/worst part of the job?

No I have never been a waitress.

5. What fashion trend for women should be outlawed? How about one for men?

Short shorts where half your butt is hanging out and for men I would say those fishnet shirts.

6. Name a writer who inspires you....now tell us why.

I can't come up with anyone right now......

7. What well known quote or saying sums up your plans for today or this week?

8.  Insert your own random thought here.

So Murphy's Law hung around a little longer here. Had an issue at the car wash, one with my Norton 360 virus protection, one with my comment photo being deleted along with two missing Mother's Day cards. One had cash in it from my father to me and one with a gift card in it that we mailed to my mother in law.

We have been having some issues with the Post Office since February when I mailed out Valentine's cards. Mail that usually takes about 3 days is now taking up to 10 days to arrive.

I always enjoy your answers and I loved the quote you chose. It's one of my favorite verses in the bible. I was a waitress when I first graduated from high school. I didn't like it, but the tips were great. I hope you have a wonderful day... :)

blogger in Sweden sent me a birthday card fro Sept 5 last year, never got it. but the Chrismtas card came in 6 days.i have been on my soap box for a year now about our mail service and lack there of. i found out this week from article in our paper, that they are privatizing the mail and that is causing the problems, not all of it but a lot of it. i was a waitress for 4 months in 1984 and HATED it ...not the job the people who ate there.

tell Murphy to get out of town but NOT to Floridia. i did my time last month.

Let's see - I love your quote - it is one of my favorites too. When you find out what you are going to do with the rest of your life - tell me. And I bet you make a lot of people laugh in a good way.

My gosh, what is happening with that post office? Ridiculous! I would understand it if it was a small town one, but not where you live. I love that scripture you quoted here!

i hate when thieves pilfer the mail. i had some of that occur in the past - always when they felt a gift card or money might be enclosed in a card. *sigh*

i have to almost admire the young girls that where those 'cheek exposing' shorts in public - i know how quickly your body changes as you age, so can't fault them for flaunting it while they still have it. still, i don't want you sitting in a booth i'm now going to have to occupy. :)

My post office used to steal my monthly Oprah Magazine. I would get so aggravated so I had to have it sent to my house. Then I had a bracelet that had been blessed by a priest stolen. It was an envelope and they took it out. By the rip, you could tell it was intentional and not by a machine. All I can do is hope they are blessed by the bracelet.

fishnet shirts should never have been invented... EVER

I hope your missing mail turns up. That's frustrating. Not a fan of the fishnet shirts either : )

That is frustrating about the mail. We are having issues too, since our mail is now being routed through Greensboro every time.

Well, that just sucks about the mail and your mother's day cards. I hope they show up! I always enjoy your answers ... I can't say I've seen the fish net shirts lately, but I def. wouldn't want to see a man in one anytime soon. LOL

Good grief, so sorry about the cards!! And ew on fishnet shirts and the cheek sagging short shorts!

Great quote! Hope you are having a much better week!

I always enjoy reading your HodgePodge!!

Wow, so sorry about the mail! All our mail is delivered to P.O. boxes - and sometimes I think that *extra trek* up the mountain adds so much trouble. We get late mail, and rarely get a magazine that hasn't been thrashed. Grr...

And for me, the simple question with a complicated answer is - Do you trust God? The correct answer is YES! But, sometimes living out what I believe is...well...complicated.

GOD BLESS!

Love your quote! Sorry about your missing cards and other mishaps. I've been selling on eBay and am pleasantly surprised how fast my packages are getting to their destinations. It is surprising.
Have a great rest of the week :)

Sorry about Murphy's Law hanging around. I know from experience how vexing his visits can be. I hope things turn around soon.
Thank you for visiting my blog page and leaving a comment. Be well!

Murphy's Law, ugh! As you know, we've had plenty of that here, as well. I hope your missing mail turns up soon.

Hi Debby, Love all your answers! I miss having Azaleas and Rhode's here-we had them both in Ca.
I can't believe how long it takes for some mail to get delivered.
Have a great evening.
Hugs, Noreen

I thought those style of clothes went out! Two horrible things to wear! All I can think about is that song "Too sexy for my shirt". Now you got that visual too!

We were at Paris Island, SC once when the Azaleas were in bloom. It was breath-taking!

I have repeated that Scripture many times...God's Word is true!
The postal service isn't what it used to be...sad.

I'm not much on short shorts - Sometimes it's nice to leave a few things to the imagination.

I have both rhododendrons and azaleas and love both, but I think azaleas have a slight edge for me.

I like both Rhododendrons & Azaleas.
I have two Azaleas. Been having mail problems too.

White leggings for women and anything spandex (unless you do sports) should be outlawed. And I am totally with you on the fishnet shirts. Oh, and white socks in sandals.

I have been a waitress and I think the best part of that job was the food. Mainly the leftovers! It was a posh restaurant, so there was posh food. And we finished what the guests didn't finish (after cutting off a part where they had eaten).

I love that verse I say it a lot :)
