MOVIE MONDAY

I wasn't going to do it, did not need to see this movie. I didn't read the book. Then one day I needed to get out of the house and it was $4. Senior Day so I saw Fifty Shades of Grey. I actually ended up liking it. It was done tastefully and I felt it had a message.
"Literature student Anastasia Steele's life changes forever when she meets handsome, yet tormented, billionaire Christian Grey."

Next up was Danny Collins. This movie was enjoyable and had a sweet story to be told. I did seem to have a hard time picturing Al Pacino as a singer but it was worth seeing.
"An aging rock star decides to change his life when he discovers a 40-year-old letter written to him by John Lennon."

I really enjoyed The Longest Ride. Movies that are based on Nicholas Sparks books are usually worth seeing. It was fun watching Clint Eastwood's son, he looks so much like him and has his mannerisms too.
"After an automobile crash, the lives of a young couple intertwine with a much older man, as he reflects back on a past love."

When I saw the trailer for The Age of Adaline I didn't want to see it. I knew that something like this could never actually happen in real life. However I do go to the show to be surprised and entertained so I did end up seeing it. It turned out to be an excellent story.
"A young woman, born at the turn of the 20th century, is rendered ageless after an accident. After many solitary years, she meets a man who complicates the eternal life she has settled into."

I wasn't sure what to expect with Little Boy. I knew it was about a boy who wanted his dad safe during the war. It was an okay story but I just wasn't impressed with the movie. Of course the faith of the little boy was enjoyable to watch.
"An eight-year-old boy is willing to do whatever it takes to end World War II so he can bring his father home. The story reveals the indescribable love a father has for his little boy and the love a son has for his father."

I think the only one I would like to see based on this post would be 'The Age of Adaline'. That sounds like it would be a nice one.
The others all sound quite forgettable.

I might be interested in seeing "The Longest Ride". I've always liked Clint Eastwood, so it would be fun to see his son in action.

I'm glad you listed what you thought of Little Boy, Debby. I was thinking it could be good to see, but I think I'll wait until it comes out on RedBox. I want to see Age of Adaline down the road too.

Hope you enjoyed your time in Arizona!

Honestly, I can't remember the last time I went to see a movie. My husband isn't really a theatre-goer, and I'm not usually *in the mood* for a movie. But, you always give such great reviews that I am often tempted to watch one. In today's offering, I'd probably see Age of Adaline. I remember the movie trailers on TV, and I thought the premise was interesting. Glad you liked it!

GOD BLESS!

50 shades was the last movie I've seen and I saw it the week it came out with a bunch of girlfriends. I didn't hate it!
I haven't seen any of the other movies mentioned but would like to see the Longest ride. Great reviews!

As always, I enjoy your movie reviews. You are a much more prolific viewer than I so they are always helpful.
