I had an opportunity to meet up with a blog friend of mine. I have known Alexis for over six years now. Alexis and her husband surprised their boys with a trip to San Diego. They are going to the San Diego Zoo today, Sea World and of course visiting Legoland in Carlsbad this week.
We were able to meet up in Escondido yesterday for an early dinner at Ramono's Macaroni Grill. We talked for 2 1/2 hours and it was wonderful. I had my favorite Penne Rustica and Alexis had my second favorite Pasta Milano.....delizioso!
It was so different. It's like you know this person so well because you have been emailing each other for years yet sitting at dinner with her felt surreal, like being in a dream.
We are really a threesome when it comes to our friendship. Our friend Amy who lives in Wisconsin is a part of that. We all became friends at the same time and we still talk about having a girls trip someday. Alexis lives in Washington and we haven't meet Amy in person yet. (Of course I could be their mother's)
Alexis, it was so wonderful meeting you in person and I know that this meeting has proven that you can be best friends with someone you had never meet in person before! Thank you for a great time and taking the time from you vacation to meet up with me. xoxoxo

Isn't it fun to meet a blog friend! I think we do tend to pour so much of our personalities into our blogs that we kinda already know one another. So happy for your successful meeting. Sounds great. We met a couple bloggers while in England this past March. We loved it!
I have had the fun of meeting two blog friends in real life, too. And you're so right, it's amazing how much you feel like you already know each other. There is something about sharing our *selves* through our writing that seems to bond us! What fun!
GOD BLESS!
It's fun getting to meet the "real" person behind the stories and pictures. Glad you got to meet up with each other and enjoyed it so much.
what a fun vacation they had and then the added fun of getting together with friends never met before.
Hey - I know her! I used to follow her blog - I guess I lost it when Google Reader when down & I switched over to BlogLovin... what is her blog again?
That's so cool you got to meet up face to face :)
(Never mind - I found you have her name linked to her blog) :)
That is so cool, Debby, to meet someone in person :) It is a neat feeling, isn't it? Hopefully the three of you can sometimes do the girl adventure you guys want to do!
betty
That is so cool!! Meeting blog friends in person is the best! So great that yall made a point to meet each other and spend a little time together.
Pasta Milano is my favorite there!!
I know just what you mean about feeling someone could be a 'bestest' friend -- and yet, you've never met in person! The first time I had an opportunity to meet up with Carol at Buttercup Counts her Blessings, I was nervous as that proverbial cat on a hot tin roof.
So glad you and Alexis had such an enjoyable time together!
PS - I love Romano's as well; but I suspect the real appeal are those crayons and butcher paper! :)
I have had the pleasure of meeting two blog friends, so happy for you.
I am so jealous in such a nice way!
So fun to meet blog friends in person!
How fun to meet one of your bloggy friends! Glad you ladies had such a great time!
How AMAZING! Love when one of us gets to meet our bloody friends in real life and it's even better than we dreamed it could be! :)
that's awesome. :) hope you 3 can get together soon.
That is so awesome that you could meet up with someone you only knew through blogs.
Oh Debby, that sounds like so much fun. I hope some day to get to meet some blogging friends. That would be so cool.
How neat that you got to finally meet your friend! Perhaps you'll get a chance to meet the third part of your friendship one day, too.
What a great picture. So happy you had this time together in person!
Fantastic! Every time I've met a fellow blogger, I always feel like it's meeting up with an old friend.
How wonderful Debby! I have met a group of blogging friends...there is about 10 of us, who try to have a reunion every couple of years. It has been such a blessing and we are very committed prayer partners, whenever one of us has a need. Big hugs.
How great is that! I have met a few blog friends over the years - always a great experience.
Great that you had a chance to meet. May you have many more to look forward too.
My dear you made me teary! It was so amazing to meet in person, it felt like friends who meet up all the time not like a first time in person meeting. I was so blessed to be able to meet up with. I could have sat and talked for hours if Rick would have been texting to come get me.
Thank you again for meeting up with me I was so excited to meet up. I can't wait to do it again and have Amy meet us too!
