I can't believe that tomorrow is December 1st. I am so not ready for Christmas. My spirit hasn't arrived yet! I have started my tree's and I have some shopping done but have so much more that needs to get done. Also there are so many movies to see, what's a woman to do???
On Tuesday November 10th I went to see Burnt. I couldn't pass up a Bradley Cooper movie. I actually liked this movie a lot. I thought the story was very good.
"Adam Jones (Bradley Cooper) is a chef who destroyed his career with drugs and diva behavior. He cleans up and returns to London, determined to redeem himself by spearheading a top restaurant that can gain three Michelin stars."
Next up is Spectre which I went to see with Mark. It was a great movie. A little too long for me but definitely worth seeing. Bond movies are always great!
"A cryptic message from Bond's past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organization. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE."
I went to see Love The Coopers which I enjoyed. I will look forward to seeing it again on DVD. I need to see some movies more than once to really see how much I liked it. It doesn't stand up to my favorite Christmas movies yet but I definitely enjoyed it a lot. Great cast!
"When four generations of the Cooper clan come together for their annual Christmas Eve celebration, a series of unexpected visitors and unlikely events turn the night upside down, leading them all toward a surprising rediscovery of family bonds and the spirit of the holiday."
Last Tuesday we went to see The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2. I'm a huge fan of the movies and I'm so glad I got to see it. This is the final in the series and I thought it had a good ending. Mark thought the beginning was slow but I didn't feel that way and the movie is full of action.
"As the war of Panem escalates to the destruction of other districts by the Capitol, Katniss Everdeen, the reluctant leader of the rebellion, must bring together an army against President Snow, while all she holds dear hangs in the balance."
So hopefully I will find some time over the next few weeks to get out and see the movies on my list before they leave the theater!

glad you enjoyed. i've yet to see mockingjay pt 1. :)
good reviews
I too can't believe tomorrow is December 1st! Got a few gifts and ideas going; just need to put it all together here :)
I want to see Part 2 of Mockingjay and see it soon, LOL. The other 3 movies in the series we saw as rentals when they eventually came out. I told hubby for this one I want to see it in the movie theater and not wait for it as a rental. I do want to see how it all ends.
betty
the only one i would watch of these is Burnt.. i have been watching the new Lifetime Christmas movies with the help of DVR... they are running new ones at 8 on Sat/Sun evenings. so far i have liked all of them, i missed the one about the North pole... i loved Farewell Mr Kringle and Christmas detour.
I read The Hunger Games trilogy. Can't decide if I liked the books better or the movies. Hmm. Maybe I'll reserve judgment after seeing this final installment!
I can't wait to see Mockingjay! I also want to see The Coopers.
Sounds like you saw some good ones.
We went to see the Coopers - it was kind of deep - I need to buy it when it comes out to figure all the levels. Lots of movies out now.
Mocking Jay is on my list and I am happy that the Princess has seen it already so her Mom can go with me....also the new Star Wars movie with the original cast from the first 3...I hope it is worth the hype, its been too long without them. I would like to watch all the ones that came before as well as the Hunger game ones just to remind me.
I actually watched Christmas with the Cranks yesterday and have seen a few of the Hallmark Christmas movies online.
As for decorating, I have a small tree on the table, my table decorations and glasses out already and have listened to some music...not sure I'm putting up the big tree, we'll see...
Mama Bear
Goodness, you're making up for last week big time!
How long has he been around, and I still can't get used to a blonde James Bond!
The Coopers is definitely on my list - hopefully, to instill some much-needed levity! (sigh ... it's weird to realize next month at this time it will all be over.)
I have picked out my favourite 20 or so Christmas films and am watching them. Plus all the films I record off the telly that I will have to watch. It is going to be busy!
I read about that Cooper film. It sounded like something I would like, so I will keep an eye out for the dvd next year.
Have not seen any of those yet Debby. Thanks for the reviews.
"Love the Coopers" is on my list to see. And I agree, any chance to see Bradley Cooper is not to be missed. ;) Since our closest theater (25 miles away) closed, it is tough for us to find the time to see many movies. We certainly miss the days when we had a theater just down the street.
Oooh wow, I am jealous of all the movies you went to! I wanted to see all of them and missed them....well some of them may still be out. I should go by myself if I can't find anyone to join me. I'm glad you enjoyed them all, even if some were long!
I can't wait to go see the newest Hunger Games, on my to do list :)
