Our New Year's Eve tradition is usually watching a movie and then we will go through the channels watching the yearly New Year's Eve shows on TV. I will put out appetizers and at midnight we will toast in the New Year with a bottle of champagne.
My favorite tradition is putting money on the window sill outside. It is a tradition my family has done ever since I was a little girl. It is for good luck in the New Year. I always put out dimes for all of us and nickels for the dogs.
My ancestors came from Czechoslovakia and I am 100% Bohemian, this was their tradition. Of course they always eat herring on New Year's Eve too but I don't do that one!!!!
May Your New Year Be Filled With Blessing

I never heard of putting money out like that :) I like that tradition! I'll be surprised if I get to 10 o'clock here, let alone midnight :)
Wishing you and yours, Debby, a wonderful Happy New Year!
betty
I haven't ever heard of that tradition either. I watched "New Year's Eve" & "Beyond the Blackboard". Both excellent movies! we're waiting for the ball to drop now!
I've never heard of that either. Happy New Year!
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU TOO!
Happy New Year, Debby! May everyday of this new year bring happiness, peace and smiles for you and your family... :)
I've never heard of putting money on the window sill before. Does anyone take it? I watched the new years eve shows last night and noticed that Ryan Seacrest definitely had the biggest celebrities. Happy new year!
I love that tradition! What a great way to bring in the new year!
