Noun 2. a vigorous effort to do or obtain something.
PUSH is my word for 2016. I was going to go with DRIVE because I want to have the drive to get things done that I have put off for years.
After working on putting up our Christmas decorations this year I learned a few things or was at least reminded of them. I work harder around this house for Christmas then I do any other time of the year and I can do anything when I set my mind to it. I also spent less time on my computer which turned out to be okay.
Getting a cold and being down for 3 days didn't help but that is where I had to find the PUSH! If I didn't push myself for the three following days it would not have been finished. That was not an option for me.
So I plan to get off of my computer more and accomplish something each day or at least a few times a week. That means I will be moving more which is a plus because I lost 7 pounds during the weeks of decorating, shopping, wrapping, cleaning, baking, etc......

One thing I do at Christmas each year is make it the best that I can. I like to celebrate Christmas each year as if it is my last. I need to PUSH myself to get our house ready for retirement. The longer I put it off the harder it is going to be in the long run. I'm not getting any younger :)
I believe I have the drive in me to accomplish the things I want to accomplish but it will take some extra PUSH to get me started and to get it done!

good luck with the big PUSH and it sounds like a great plan to me... computer does eat into housework time for sure
Push is a great word - mine is perspective!
Push is a wonderful word and I think you will be pushing things this year. Great you lost weight girl! You can do it.
That is a great reminder to get up from the computer and do some physical work with the results of the weight loss, Debby. That was great with the 7 pounds hopefully gone forever. I think PUSH is a great word for the year and so manageable to push yourself to do things. I need to push myself away from the computer more myself.
betty
I like these 'think outside the box' words! Just please don't over-do it and make yourself ill!
What a great word and I'm betting you can do it and you'll be so proud at the end of 2016. Blessings!
Good word. I wish you all the best with this. Have a wonderful year.
Hi there, I understand about getting off the computer more~I'm finding that I don't visit as many blogs as I used to-just so much to do. In fact, I'm retired and on the go constantly. Hope you have a great day today!
Hugs, Noreen
7 pounds! You go!!!!! :)
That's a good word. It is always so easy to give in to the urge of giving in (I know all about it), but if you can then push yourself to do it anyway, you feel as if you have accomplished even more!
Good luck on pushing yourself this year!
That's a good choice. I need to push myself more too. Maybe that needs to be my word too this year for a lot of the same reasons as you stated.
This is a great word, Debby! So much potential in it, as I think it involves something intentional about it, too. I like this dictionary definition of it: "a vigorous effort to do or obtain something." YES!
XO
(Hey, congrats on the 7 pounds!)
I like your word. I wish you the best!! You have a great attitude to Push on, so I know you can do this. :-))

I wish you all the best in your "PUSH" journey.
I think that's a great inspirational word for 2016 and I couldn't agree more about time away from the computer. I get so much more done when I'm focusing on other things. Congrats on the weight loss and have a great week... :)
That's a great word Debby, and I wish you the best as you PUSH ahead and accomplish much in the new year!
