Volume 265
Thank you Joyce.
Head on over and join in!!!
1. What's something fun you're looking forward to on your May calendar?
Our daughter Amber turns 35! Also we are heading to Phoenix, AZ at the end of the month to visit with my sister in laws and Mark's mom will be flying in from Houston, TX.
2. What are some images that come to mind when you hear the word mother?
This is not mine but it looks just like the one I have. It was a Crewel Kit that I made for our nursery. The image for me that comes to mind are the middle of the night feedings and rocking my children as they nursed.

3. What's something beautiful you own or have seen that's made of glass?
I have a few lovely cut glass vases that are beautiful and I also have a few Fenton Art Glass figurines.
See the little Santa, he is Fenton Art Glass and I couldn't resist buying him when I worked at Hallmark because he looked just like the ceramic Santa we have which belonged to Mark's Nana.
4. Was today typical? If not what made it unusual?
Since I always do my Wednesday Hodgepodge on Tuesday mornings I will say yes. I plan on running some errands and hope to see the Mother's Day movie that opened on Friday.

5. What is a quality you wish you could have more of?
Good question! I found this article "30 Qualities that Make Ordinary People Extraordinary" and right now I wish I was Action Oriented and I could stop procrastinating!
6. What's the next major purchase you need to make? Will it happen in the month of May?
Right now I can't think of anything.......

7. What responsibility/job/work did you dislike while growing up but has proved helpful to you as an adult?
Truthfully I wasn't really given any chores growing up so I have nothing to report here! Now you may think this relates to my answer for #5 on procrastination but it doesn't. Once I got married and had my own place to take care of I was a working machine that would never stop.

I love the classic crewel piece you have! So did you make it to the movie?
i have 4 glass pieces that i love, glass animals. and i have my mothers framed piece some what like yours.. cross stitched and daddy framed it.. we are praying over our next major breakdown, every single applicance in the house is about to go and the AC to.. also my desktop. we are just waiting to see which one breaks first
I like that stitching that you had made for the nursery and that is so true, babies do grow up so quick!
What a cute Santa :) I think I would have been tempted to buy him too!
I like your random thought :)
betty
Your quality wish would work well for me. I procrastinate too much.
I used to procrastinate all the time too. Although i was pretty good about school work which my mom loved. :)
The little rooster is really cute!
Oh, I love that little poem, how true it is! Happy Mother's Day. Enjoy :)
The poem about mothers and babies is so sweet. My sister had that on her wall and I have used it many times to encourage a young mom who felt guilty over not getting everything done. Love your random thought about chores.
I am crazy so we will be good friends. Like your figurines. And I know what you mean about been action orientated - I mean sometimes I am and sometimes I'm not! Have a good mother's day.
I like your rooster?
That's neat that Mark's mother is also to join y'all this Mother's Day weekend. Drive safely and have a great visit with the ladies!
Geeze, I need to clean my contacts. :(
I just read Phoenix and jumped to conclusions (that) everyone would be together THIS weekend. Sorry!
I've always loved the poem on the crewel kit you have. So true!
Your May calendar sounds busy. Enjoy :)

Love the poem! And your rooster is darling. Saw that movie sun afternoon. It's cute. Hope you had good day
I'm trainable!
You always make me want to go to the movies since I never go and you seem to go quite frequently. :o)) Sounds like a fun Mother's Day weekend! Enjoy!
I have a Fenton vase and absolutely love it. Your Santa is so cheery looking (and maybe he's tipped a bottle or two). Enjoy your trip to AZ.
How was the movie? My daughter and I debated between that and Jungle Book and since Jungle Book got better reviews we saw it. Loved it! Have a happy Mother's Day!
Hi,
Did you like the movie? I am thinking of going to see it.
Happy Birthday to your daughter!!
Happy Mother's Day to you my friend,
Carla
Happy birthday to your daughter. Love your random thought and the links about procrastination etc were useful. I can procrastinate with the best of people! Happy Mother's Day.
#2 - I had a little plaque with that saying on it when my sons were babies. I think I really took it to heart, because my house was pretty dirty!! Seems like those days were so long ago - sometimes I still miss them.
And, you don't need to train me. I'm loco, kooky, nutty, crazy, wacky, screwy, batty, dippy, dingy, and unhinged. Must be why our friendship clicks...
xo
Happy Mother's Day, Debby. Hope it's a very special one!!
LOL crazy we are :)
