Volume 286
Thank you Joyce!
1. Let's all think happy thoughts...share one of yours here.
2. There's a Chinese proverb that says, "If you want happiness for an hour take a nap, if you want happiness for a day-go fishing...." What say you?
If you want happiness for a day stay away from social media. Actually fishing for a day would be awesome!
3. Where do you go to decompress from the world around you?
I go to the show.
4. What song never fails to make you happy?
5. Wednesday is National Fast Food Day. Should that be a thing? Apparently it is, so tell us what's the last 'fast food' you consumed? If you were putting together your own version of a 'happy meal' what would you include?
Well if National Fast Food Day was once a year I would say it is okay as long as you don't eat it the other 364 days!
We do not get fast food very often. I believe I picked up a Jack In The Box breakfast croissant a few weeks ago because I had an early doctors appointment and didn't have time to eat before I left.
My Happy Meal is: Jack's Breakfast Croissant, Wendy's Bacon Cheese Potatoes and a Jamba Juice! (Of course the first two I shouldn't be eating.)

6. In a few sentences tell us why you blog.
I blog to have a family record of events and with the hope that my future grandchildren would be able to know who I am.

7. List seven things you're feeling especially grateful for today.
God, Family, Dogs, Food, Health, Home and Friends.

Do you know, I never got that song (Happy) until I saw the film. It's still not my favourite, but at least I get it now...
That is too cute about the ice cube!!! Sending hugs and prayers and wishing you a good day.
I agree with stay away from social media!! Yep!!!!
I love that cute knitter :-)
Your random ... HA!!
Have a great rest of the week, Debby, hope your feeling better.

Love your random thought. So true about staying away from social media too. Fast food is good in bits and pieces, certainly convenient.

Loved your responses. The little elf made me laugh. Thank you for sharing him with us this morning.
Hey Debby,
I enjoyed reading your answers today. I agree with your thoughts about staying away from social media. Whew, so much division and strife!
Going to the movies is a great way to "escape". I'd do that, too, if we didn't live so far away from the theater.
Great random thought :)

Hey there, Debby! I'm amazed at how many have chosen "Happy" as their song of choice. Great pick, I must say! That little elf bit was just the smile I needed this morning. Hugs!
Can't get that tune out of my head this morning....Love it..."clap along...happy, happy, happy!" great choice. Your random thought made me giggle! Have a great week.
Cheers!

Come on, that is why the refrigerator has an under to it. I think we should just put a drain under the fridge. That way, I can kick to my heart's content.
I agree on stay away from social media and I am and have and will be for a long time. I go once a day and click on my two sons, to see what they have to say. I don't post or comment anymore.
I read to get away into a happy place, but I do love movies and a few tv shows and they make me happy. I had a Culvers burger basket this past Saturday. we eat fast food once a week, pizza, burger, cheese steak for bob and fish for me from Salems.
Dang, I wish I could keep away from social media. Some days I fear an intervention's in order. (*smile*)
That knitting gnome is adorable, and I laughed out loud at the ice cube 'remark.' (If I don't grab them up fast-like, I'm afraid one of our dogs would get one and choke.)
I hope deep down my grandsons would get to know me better by reading my blog....
That song makes me happy too. Love the ice cube thing. lol
Ha! That's funny about the ice cube. Love the little happy video at the top. Too cute. Have a great week!
I love that Santa. And I love that song Be Happy - forgot about that.
And yes take a creak from social media.
And so true about the ice cube. lol
That knitting gnome is adorable! I wonder how they did that. :)
I agree about having some "unplugged" time, not just from social media, but from television, and anything else that keeps you from interacting with your supposed loved ones for an extended period of time. I say "supposed" because one makes time for what one loves or thinks is important. If one's face is always in the computer instead of in face-to-face interaction with one's spouse, children, or other folks, that says an awful lot to me about what one thinks of those folks, and their value compared to the value of screen time.
I love the ice comment. Too funny!
Have a blessed day. :)
Oh that last one is classic! I need to deactivate from Facebook, however, I have long distance friends going through some difficult times and I want to stay in touch.
I enjoyed reading your Hodgepodge today, especially your random. Hope you have a wonderful evening!
#8 cracked me up.
I totally agree with staying away from social media for the day. Facebook has been making me very annoyed lately. I should stay away for more than a day :)
yes, you do go to the show. :)
Ha ha to your random thought! Great song choice. Your #1 is so cute. Have a great rest of the week :)
Ha, I love what you said about happiness! Staying away from social media is a must! I think I would pick fishing, because everyone knows you can often snooze a little while fishing!
Ha-that last saying is so true : ) Social media is not nearly as much fun as it once was. I hope we start seeing gratitude and Christmas shares now, and less bullying and vitriol. Nice to see you in the Hodgepodge!
Wow, I haven't heard the phrase 'go to the show' from anyone other than my mother...you gave me a smile.
And then I lol'ed at your Random Thought. Truth!!! :-)
LOL if only my kids would pick up the freaking ice cubes!!!
