Nothing is coming to mind for me at this time.
3. Will you be doing any spring cleaning now that the season is upon us? I read here a list of 15 quick (under one hour) spring cleaning tasks. They were-
clean out a drawer, vacuum furniture, whiten tile grout, dust the nooks and crannies you don't get to year round, degrease kitchen cabinets, wipe down walls, go behind furniture, wipe down ceiling fans, vacuum the mattress, clean the range hood, wash baseboards, shine the stainless steel, clean out vents, tackle the windows, and wipe down gadgets
Of the fifteen 'quick' tasks listed which two most need doing at your house? Will you do them?

That's the plan although that is the plan every year and I usually fail terribly. I'm going with drawers and tile grout!
4. A favorite movie set in Paris or New York?
4. A favorite movie set in Paris or New York?
Midnight in Paris and One Fine Day. Of course I could name a dozen more for sure!!!
5. What's put a spring in your step this month?
Nothing yet! Trip to Florida has been a bit of a nightmare.
6. Did you ever want to be a teacher? Why or why not?
6. Did you ever want to be a teacher? Why or why not?
No I never wanted to be a teacher. I never cared for school.
7. What's your favorite floral scent? Do you have this somewhere in your home or maybe in a perfume? How do you feel about florals in food? How about wines with floral notes-yay or nay?
My favorite floral scent is Freesia. I do not have it in a perfume, real is the best. We have one bulb planted in our yard. I'm not crazy about floral's in my food. I'm not one to notice the floral notes in wine, just bring me the wine......

So in case you haven't seen on Facebook I have been in the trip from hell her in Florida. Came out to help my dad and more things happen. I am here for a third week now, I will be heading home on Sunday.
All was well, dad was making great progress and on Tuesday of last week he blacked out and crashed to the kitchen floor on the same side he broke his hip on. Blood pooled around his head and I called 911. It was very traumatic for me. He needed 7 stitches and thankfully he didn't break his hip again. Just very tender from the fall. He had a slight brain bleed in his head but that is all okay.
He is now back in rehab and will be there for several weeks. Not sure what is next for him. In the mean time I was in the ER twice with hives everywhere. It is finally controlled and it was determined it was from extreme stress from trauma. So antihistamines and anxiety pills to the rescue.
Oh and to make matters worse we received a denial letter about my knee surgery so I don't know what is going on anymore. I guess I start from square one again. Insurance is looking into why it was approved and then denied.

I can't believe they denied the surgery... hope that gets straigt when you get home.
my favorite floral scent is a yard full of night blooming jasmine or honeysuckle. no scents allowed in the house because of allergies.
march madness for us both and even for Jake is POLLEN POLLEN POLLEN with mad sneezing going on
Debby... sounds like your plate is full and you've had quite a trying time these past weeks. I'm glad your Dad didn't break anything. I hope you can figure out a way to turn the insurance company's decision around. I hope your Dad heals quickly. Safe travels.
Oh poor Debby!! That insurance thing has been awful for you. I hope you can get it resolved soon, so you can take care of your knee! I'm glad your dad is doing better. I am sure you hate to leave him, but know you need to get back home. Continued prayers!
Ridiculous they denied your surgery! I hope that they change their ruling about it. Health care these days is so different than before. It has been a hard time for you in Florida. I hope your dad will be able to return home with help. November is a good month for a wedding.
Betty
Sorry to hear about your dad's fall. That would be frightening to see a father in such a vulnerable state like that. It's amazing how one's body reacts to high levels of stress and anxiety. Hope you are doing better now...and that you find another option for your knee surgery.
What an awful fall your dad had! A miracle, really, that he didn't re-injure his hip and that he had no broken bones. Still, even though the outcome was relatively fine, it must have been so scary with all that blood. Have they figured out why he blacked out?
Glad your hives are under control now. That must have really added insult to injury. Glad you could join the Hodgepodge today!
Don't get me started on insurance companies. I honestly hate them. Glad your dad is doing better and that you'll be heading home soon. I can't do flowers inside or even go near them. They try to kill me with their fragrance. LOL
You have definitely had a tough go of it lately, so very sorry. I'm glad that things have started taking a positive turn and I pray they stay there. Your dad sure is lucky to have you! Hugs, my friend!
They denied surgery on your knee??! That's horrid! I'm so sorry to hear what a tough time it's been for you, and what a terrible fall and consequences from it for your dad. I hope he gets good care. You are a good advocate for him, and I know that everyone needs a loving advocate.
Goodness Debby, I'm so sorry for all the difficulties you've had to deal with this month. I'm sure this situation with your dad is really hard. So glad you got the hives under control. Hopefully now you can get the insurance sorted, but what a pain to have to continually deal with bureaucracy. Thinking of you as you wrap up your stay and travel home. Give yourself some grace. It's been a lot for you this month. xo
Having kept up with you on FB, I was glad to read that you have a date for returning home and that your dad is stable enough for you to feel comfortable about leaving him. Surely, there has been a mistake about the denial for surgery. I've not heard of that. Get home and get you a big pile of movies, a glass of wine and chill for a week. You need it! I started to ask you for movie ideas because I claim you as my movie expert friend. Have a safe and enjoyable trip across this beautiful country of ours.
Hi Debby,
I have been away, just getting back to blog world.
I am sorry to hear the news about your knee. Hope things get figured out.
I am glad you were with your dad! That is the positive!
Hope things get better, I will be praying.
So happy for your son!
xx oo

What a mess poor girl - it does seem like things are getting better. So you are coming home. I know your dad will be looked over at rehab. It is so hard when our parents get older - we love them so much. sandie
Oh my Debby. I am sorry you are having all these problems. Glad your dad wasn't hurt too bad and is now back in rehab. Take care, my friend. Will continue to pray for you.
Sorry to hear all this. Stress and anxiety can really mess you up. Thats crazy about the insurance approving and then denieing your knee surgery
I couldn't agree more about the 'floral notes' (huh?) in wine. Bring it on!
Even with all the stress over the Z-Pack and your dad, you still crack me up! (BTW, years ago I suffered a similar reaction to Z-Pack. Noooo fun.)
It sounds like your trip to Florida was very stressful and upsetting. Hope things get better for you. Have a great week.
{{{Hugs}}} I am so sorry that your daddy fell and got hurt and very sorry to hear that they've denied your knee surgery. I pray that you and your daddy will be healed very soon.
Have a safe trip and a blessed night.
I love freesia.
Bummer about the trip, hives and your dad's fall. Wish you a good trip home and a break from all the stress Debby.
Oh Debby, I'm so sorry. My mil comes home from rehab today and if you ask me....she is not ready, so we are in similar boats. I will keep you and your dad in prayer. (((Hugs)))
I honestly think insurance companies issue those denials hoping you'll give up and they won't have to pay. I'm sorry you are going through that and the stuff with your dad.
As for spring cleaning, I don't because I'd rather be outside working.
Medical concerns are very stressful for both a parent and ourselves. I am so glad that your dad did not break his hip, but it sounds like a very stressful situation all around. Actually, your life sounds a lot like my family just now. Saying a prayer for your situation. God knows and He is on the case.
What's going on with the insurance? That is not ok!!! I'll keep praying!
