~Thank you Joyce~
1. What is one area of your life where you're a perfectionist? Is that a good thing?
Putting the ornaments on my Christmas trees! Yes it is a good thing in my opinion.
2. What's something you find perfectly ridiculous?
Some of those shows on TLC. Who is watching those? There are two shows I do like but when I see commercials for some of the other shows I just say to myself "why"?
3. What's a skill you've developed by way of that old fashioned saying, 'practice makes perfect?
Learning to breathe......it is not a skill but a necessity.
4. What's your idea of a perfect breakfast?
Eggs over easy, whole grain toast and sausage. Or I would like an omelette with cheese and mushroom. However granola with unsweetened vanilla almond milk is great too!
5. What's a trip, holiday, vacation, or day outing you've taken that you'd rate a perfect 10? Tell us why.
I will go back to my 3 week trip to Europe 5 years ago. Mark was traveling on business so we stayed at some very nice places and enjoyed some fine dining. London, Paris and Italy.
On the other hand my time in New York last August was pretty amazing too. We stayed at that J.W. Marriott Essex House across from Central Park and had a view of the park from our window.
6. What quote or saying perfectly sums up your life right now? If you can't do perfect, how about one that comes close?
and this......
7. How would you spend $300 today?
Because of how I am feeling at this very moment when I'm answering these questions, I might just by a purse!
8. Insert your own random thought here.
(I had this set up for this post before I knew about question #6)

I'd buy shoes - shocking, huh?
I agree with you on some of those tv shows. Remember honey boo boo?
my 10 vacation was and is and always will be, a few days in the driftwood inn on Ormond beach FL and eating out at Aunt Catfish. pleas add 200 to the 300 and I would buy a DSLR camera.. I love cheese omelets and the good news is that is on my diet plan. I think learning to breathe is The Most Important thing you can do. I do know what you are talking about though... Bob had to do that when he had heart surgery
Love, Love, Love your post....as always. You always have the best answers....I especially loved the ornament placement comment.
Hmmm ... never considered the Christmas tree. I can be a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to lights, but with pre-lit trees it's no longer an issue.
I love all of your breakfast menus and that is a great quote on #6. So true for us to learn to dance in the rain during the storms of our lives!
betty
I learned how to knit by practicing and practicing. Basically because my mother didn't want me around for her birthday party with big people, I had to sit in their bedroom and knit and knit and knit (I was 6). I don't mind though. It's a nice skill to have.
I had a very similar answer about ridiculous TV shows and I've just recently discovered I like vanilla almond milk on my cereal. It is yummy!
Great quotes!
I've not watched TLC. That view of Central Park is beautiful. I guess I'm somewhat perfectionistic when it comes to decorating the tree, but I think my husband is more so. He directs me as I place the ornaments
i do love your quotes you and I think alike! lol. I am OCD about my house I guess - I do like a clean house. And i do watch a couple of those on TLC. I am nuts! lol Love, sandie
A new purse always brightens my spirits : ) I love NY Paris London and Italy too...it's hard to pick a favorite. Your trees are amazing!
I thought of you when I answered #1. We're so much alike in that area :)
I also agree with you about those shows on TLC. What's up with all that?
Love the random thought :)

I haven't had a real vacation in forever
I'm still in awe of your and Mark's trip to the Big Apple!
Isn't that almond milk the BEST?
Your trip to Europe sounds wonderful! And so does the stay in New York, especially since it was at the Marriott. I've only once stayed in a nice hotel, because all of our travel is done with an even a tighter budget than Rick Steves!, but the nice hotel was a long time ago, a week in Boston at the Marriott Long Wharf. What a delight!
Since spring is just around the corner, I'd be spending the $300 on plants!
love your idea of a perfect breakfast mine would be french toast, maple syrup, bacon and enough time to enjoy my breakfast
I like both of your breakfast choices. I like shopping for purses (and shoes) when I need a pick me up. There are a few shows I like on TLC but some of the others are ridiculous indeed!
LOL I'm so with you on the new purse! I need a smile and that would do it lol
