Volume 320
Thank you Joyce!
Go here to join in the fun....
1. When you think about your future what do you fear most? Hope for the most?
Well let's face it, the older we get the more people we lose. I fear that the most.
I hope that we will have enough money to get us through the rest of our lives after we retire.
2. September is National Chicken Month. How often is chicken on the menu at your house? What's a favorite dish made with chicken? What's something you're a 'chicken' about doing or trying?
We have chicken at least once a week, sometimes more. Chicken Provolone has become my favorite recipe. I've mentioned this recipe several times this year.
I am a chicken about a lot of things these days!!
3. What are three things you don't own but wish you did?
I'm drawing a blank here.
4. Would you rather be a jack of all trades or a master of one? Elaborate. If you answered one, which one?
At this point and time in my life I would like to be the master of organization and take ownership of the concept of the less is more attitude!
5. Ketchup or mustard? On what?
Mustard on a hot dog. I don't use ketchup much at all.
6. Insert your own random thought here.

I tend to like a little hot dog with my mustard
I'm with you on the organization and less is more concept. I am slowly going into my sewing (junk) room and pulling items and putting them in a box. I need to destash my hoard and realize I'm never going to do all those projects!!
You will be shocked at my answer to the mustard or ketchup. My hot dogs always includes Mayo and ketchup. How would love to be the master of one trade and I would want that to be photography. If I were younger I would go to school for that I would like to be a photog reporter on a news channel. About the things I would like to have that I don't have I want an Apple laptop and an iPad. I have Windows 10 and I hate it. Never going to happen because my greatest fear is losing my husband and the rest of that fear is not having enough money to live on thus no money spent on iPads and laptops
No ketchup on my hot dogs either! I like mustard. And chili and onions if it's around. Oh, and I love a good Chicago dog.
I hardly ever eat chicken. Unless I prepare some (ready made) nuggets. Other than that: not a fan.
That's kinda how I feel about retirement! lol
Yes, so true about retirement and getting older. We used to have hot dogs at a place that served chili and coleslaw on the hot dogs. Yummy!
We're into retirement and it is a little unnerving to see the financial piece. I love hot dogs but have not eaten one since my gall bladder attack last year. Every time I am tempted I think about that pain and resist. I'd love a hot dog right now though : ) Hope you're feeling good!
I liked all you said. I agree mustard on a hotdog - ketchup - NEVER! So I worry about being a burden on anyone...Hope your knee is doing great! sandie
I so agree with your #4. And I wish it would happen overnight. LOL And I hope too that your knee is feeling better every day. Love the cartoon at the end. I'm so hoping that won't be us.
Good afternoon, Sunshine~
I like both ketchup & mustard but it really depends on what we're having.
Thank you for sharing your Chicken Provolone recipe, I can't wait to make it for my family.
Retirement is something that we try hard not to think about!
Blessings~
Laura
I could eat chicken every night but my husband doesn't like it all that much
That random thought image is great! It made me smile and I can understand the thought completely. We wouldn't even get through an hour with our savings. :) Having the money to live is a big worry to us, too.
Losing people is very hard. We just found out this morning that David's mentor from the rescue squad that he worked with as a teenager was killed in a hit and run incident on Monday. It seems every time we open the paper, someone we knew and/or loved is in there. No matter how many times it happens, it never gets any easier.
I hope that you have a blessed week!
That random thought is precious! 'Love how humor always alleviates Real Situations many find ourselves in.
That's a great random thought--and with the cost of everything rising, it's almost true :)

1. When you think about your future what do you fear most? Hope for the most?
Losing my mom. But I hope that it's fast and she does not suffer. .
2. September is National Chicken Month. How often is chicken on the menu at your house? What's a favorite dish made with chicken? What's something you're a 'chicken' about doing or trying?
Once a week, but from Feb till July it was chicken, chicken, chicken.....and fish!
Chicken about spiders
3. What are three things you don't own but wish you did?
a shop for crafts and wood work., more money coming in from retirement, maybe a newer car
4. Would you rather be a jack of all trades or a master of one? Elaborate. If you answered one, which one?
I am a jack of a lot of trades....hence the reason my craft room started to over flood and took over. I have been the type that tried a lot of things and never settled on just one.
5. Ketchup or mustard? On what?
I do not like ketchup on my burgers, I love it on fries and I will dip my steak in it. Mustard...I love on hot dogs when I eat them, burgers, sandwiches
6. Insert your own random thought here.
Random thought~ glad for the fall like weather that TN is having and glad that Fall is around the corner
There are so many good recipes for chicken. We have it about 1-2 times a week. Hubby is planning to retire in about 2 years or so, 3 if he can hang on to bank the Social Security after he hits 66. I'll miss the disposable income we have now, but I think we'll be okay unless some catastrophic illness hits us. It is scary to think about the days ahead and wondering how they all will play out.

When you think about your future what do you fear most.
I fear the end and my family not being ready to go.
I fear that people don't think about how close it is.
Great answers today! I saved your chicken provolone recipe and am glad for the recommendation. It looks truly scrumptious and I saved several of Aunt B's poke cake recipes while I was over there. Those will be great for our church potlucks.
Hi Debby, Love the cartoon. So funny. Hope you are doing well!
Hugs,
Noreen
Debby, you find the best funnies!!
How is your dad? Is he in the path of Irma?
Praying,
Carla
I fear losing people, too. I fear being alone when I'm old, although it seems inevitable.
