1. In a rut, in a jam, in the groove, out of sync, off balance, out of touch...which saying best fits some area of your life currently (or recently)? Explain.
I'm going to say "our of sync." After all of the chasing this year, appointment after appointment and not being able to do normal things because of the knee pain, I find myself having trouble getting back into the groove.
2. What is it about somebody else's style of work (coworker/employee/shared volunteer project/household chore) that makes you crazy? Why?
I'm was drawing a blank here but I will share this with you.....
If we eat dinner and I wash the dishes I will leave them in the dish drainer and put them away first thing in the morning. My dad needs them put away right away. He said my mom would never leave dishes out to dry!
3. What's a tradition that always makes you feel at home?
A movie on Friday night and a Home Run Inn pizza or a Lou Malnati's Deep Dish.
4. A favorite song with a girl's name in the title or lyrics? Any reason why this is a particular favorite?
Barry Manilow's "Mandy" is a favorite of mine. No other reason other than I have been a Fanilow forever!!

Not sure I will get around to writing a post before I leave but I did go and see three movies last week at the show. It felt so good! You will have to wait for my post on my views about these movies.

I was trying to think of a tradition that would make me feel at home and I could not come up with a single thing.
The Mountain Between Us sounds like a good movie. Plus the leads are nice to look at as well...

I leave my dishes to dry, too! Sometimes we reuse them right out of the dish drainer... don't tell your dad! LOL
YAY for starting up your movies again. I do that with my dishes, leave them to air dry overnight and put up in the am and start over. don't have many dishes with just 2 of us.
our lifeguard at the YMCA makes me crazy. he is 10 minutes late every day, 5 days a week. we have to wait to get in the pool which should be open at 5:30 when we walk inside, he comes in the door behind us or 5 minutes later.
I had such a time trying to think of an answer to #3. Mother is still here and she insists on doing the dishes. I think it's because I'll let them dry overnight and she has to have them washed, dried, and put away every single day. Right now I'm just glad I'm not having to do the dishes. LOL

I'm so excited for your upcoming happy family event. Can't wait to see pictures and hear all about it. Enjoy every minute! I cannot handle an unmade bed in the morning or dishes in the sink overnight.

Now that we are alone (without kids at home) I sometimes leave the dishes unwashed over night (gasp!!) haha. Live a little, right?!
Hope you get complete relief from your knee pain. And your dad just made me chuckle. You can tell him that air drying the dishes is more sanitary. :-)) Blessings on you and the family.

I think you'll be out of the groove until the new year with all the things you've been through this year and all the excitement coming up so very soon. Glad you were able to enjoy a few movies, though. Great Friday night tradition!

I so identify with being out of sync for the same reason. With SWMBO's illness and doctors appointments it is very difficult to adopt some sort of routine, much less to maintain one. I also have chronic knee pain due to arthritis so at the risk of sounding cliche, I feel your pain.
I like "Mandy" as well. I too am an unabashed fan of Barry Manilow...Celine Dion...Air Supply and a number of other acts that are "uncool." I like what I like, what can I say?
