WEDNESDAY HODGEPODGE

Volume 352
~Thank you Joyce~

1. What would you say is your biggest day to day challenge?

Motivation. I haven't had any in a long time. Honestly I feel that since I started blogging 9 years ago and have been on social media I have become a very lazy person. I'm having trouble digging myself out of this hole.

2. May 16th is National Biographers Day. What's a biography you really enjoyed reading? Is this a genre you read regularly?

I'm not sure I have read one. My regular genre would be romance novels.

3. How important is keeping a clean house? Do you need to de-clutter your life?

It is very important to me. I can't do what I use to do and that is a daily frustration for me. Yes my life is in need of a de-cluttering.

4. You're the 8th dwarf. What's your name?

LAZY

5. What's surprised you the most about your life or life in general?

I am going to say that the biggest surprise was turning 60. Grandparents are supposed to be in their 60's, not me. Going from thirty one day to sixty the next is how it felt to me.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

I have a problem with motivation too. We could start a support group for digging out of the lazy hole.
I can't recall ever reading a biography. I like a good mystery.

Debby,

I love your cartoon!

Thanks for being a bright light to my day!

I've read a few biographies, but not many. The most recent was one by Anderson Cooper and his mom, Gloria Vanderbilt. Very interesting. I can't do what I used to do either, but I do seem to have gotten a little pep back recently. 60 is perfect for grandma's.... your little one will be here soon!

Goodness, but can I relate to your answer to #1. I hate it and yet I can't seem to do anything about it. And I probably could have used Lazy as my dwarf name.

Love your random. lol

If I were honest, lazy or procrastinator would be a better name for me that the one I used.

Take care and have a good day!

I know what you mean about age creeping up on you and surprising you. My daughter turns 30 in a month. How can I have a 30 year old child?? In my head I'm about 40 : ) Happy Wednesday!

I have never read a biography and never will. They just don't appeal to me. I find it funny or odd that my answer is the same as yours. Since I have started blogging I am living on the computer and I just last week thought to myself I am in a hole I have no real friends except the ones in the computer because I never do anything or go anywhere other than blogging comments emails Facebook it's all computer-related and I am sitting in a hole a deep hole and never leave the house except for the things I have to do. I am thinking of looking for volunteer or maybe even a job or joining something other than my tops meeting that gets me out of the house. The computer has made it way too easy to sit in the household and that needs to be spelled house hole. Your comment about the grandmother being 60 is no longer true because most grandmothers are now 38 to 40 I think I was 38

Yep age creeps up on us without warning and I swear days go quicker as we get older lol. Motivation can be hard at times. I could justify Lazy or Procrastinator as my Dwarf name a lot of the time. Nice cartoon. Fortunately my hubby would win - he does most of his own ironing.

I normally enjoy romance as well, though some of my favorite authors are bothering me lately because I feel like they're writing plots that preach their political views too much. UGH.

LOL with the Iron Man competition :) I too was surprised at how fast I went from 30 to 60; time does go by so incredibly fast even when some days seem to last forever. Its hard to unplug from social media; it is very enticing with all that it has to offer. Said it before, but start with small goals; even something for 10 minutes a day. Reward yourself after a bit with something fun you like to do, like going to a movie etc., and so very soon you won't by the Lazy 8th Dwarf but the Productive One!

I'm remembering our teen-age mantra: "Never trust anyone over 30." 'Thought we were being so cute. Not!

Love your random. In fact, I'm going to borrow it for Facebook and see if my favorite son doesn't recognize himself!

You know, I have been thinking a lot about the time I spend on my computer, too. I do get out and do other things, but when I'm at home, I try to accomplish or be productive each day and then read or blog. I love the Iron Man!

Love your Random Thought, made me laugh. I love being a Grannie but turning 64 was a surprise to me. Holy cow how did that happen and who is that old lady in the mirror!!

I feel your pain about motivation. I work best under pressure, and it's hard to be motivated when there is none. About turning 60: I'm in my last year of that blessed youthfulness called 60s, and believe me, I can hardly contemplate hitting that next number. It's terrifying. It would help if I didn't still feel 45. Life is a strange thing.

Iron Man - now that is funny. It is hard to be motivated when you do not feel well. And I like a clean house too. And you are not lazy girl.
Love, sandie

Greetings from God's Country, A.K.A. New Hampshire. I have found myself in your description of yourself in the blog posts I have read. I procrastinate and have trouble motivating myself to get stuff done. Part of my problem was (is) that I was depressed. I am not a doctor or a medical professional but I wonder if perhaps you are suffering from depression, at least to some extent.
In any event, I thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. I love and your Random Thought! Have a great week.

It's SO easy to sit down, open up the laptop, and next thing you know 3 hours have past! I know exactly what you're saying!
