This post is way over due. I should have done one a few weeks ago. So here we go.....
When we were in Montana visiting Amber and Dylan we went to see The Equalizer 2. We were celebrating an early birthday for Dylan so we went to the show and out for a nice dinner. It was a great day!
You can't go wrong with Denzel Washington. This movies was great! If you loved the first one you will definitely enjoy this one.
"Robert McCall serves an unflinching justice for the exploited and oppressed, but how far will he go when that is someone he loves?"
On Tuesday August 21st we went to see The Spy Who Dumped Me. We like Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon, they were great together. Fun movie!
"Audrey and Morgan are best friends who unwittingly become entangled in an international conspiracy when one of the women discovers the boyfriend who dumped her was actually a spy."
On Friday August 24th we went to see Crazy Rich Asians. There was so much hype about this movie that we just had to check it out. Fun movie. It was definitely worth seeing.
"This contemporary romantic comedy, based on a global bestseller, follows native New Yorker Rachel Chu to Singapore to meet her boyfriend's family."
On Tuesday August 28th we went to see Mile 22 with Mark Wahlberg. We are a fan of his movies. This movie was really good. Hope you get a chance to see it.
"An elite American intelligence officer, aided by a top-secret tactical command unit, tries to smuggle a mysterious police officer with sensitive information out of the country."
On Tuesday September 4th we went to see Ant-Man and the Wasp. I happen to be a fan of Ant-Man. Mark could care less but he went with me. This movie was enjoyable. Well I think anything with Paul Rudd is enjoyable!!
"As Scott Lang balances being both a Super Hero and a father, Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym present an urgent new mission that finds the Ant-Man fighting alongside The Wasp to uncover secrets from their past."
On Tuesday September 11th we went to see Peppermint. Wow, this movie was excellent. Jennifer Gardner was awesome and a real bad ass!
"Five years after her husband and daughter are killed in a senseless act of violence, a woman comes back from self-imposed exile to seek revenge against those responsible and the system that let them go free."
On Thursday September 13th we went to see The Happytime Murders. When this movie first came out Mark wanted to see it. Then we decided we would wait for the DVD from Netflix.
So I received an email from Regal Cinema. I am a card holder member. You get points when you purchase tickets and then you can turn those points into free items at the snack bar or even free tickets. We are $5. each all day any day so we don't use it towards tickets.
"When the puppet cast of a '90s children's TV show begin to get murdered one by one, a disgraced LAPD detective-turned-private eye puppet takes on the case."
Anyway they had a deal going on. If you see Mile 22, Peppermint and The Happytime Murders you get extra points, free popcorn and a digital copy of each of the movies. Now that may not be important to most people but I have a VUDU account which has over 100 digital movies in it.
I can watch them on my phone or other devices for traveling but we can also watch them on our Roku TV's. Whenever I purchase a DVD I always buy the one with the digital copy. (I don't buy too many DVD's anymore. I mainly purchase movies I want my dad to see when I visit with him) You can also buy digital copies of movies from VUDU directly. Yes it's official, I'm a movie freak!!
So what about the movie??? It was entertaining. Mark really enjoyed it. I liked it, it made me laugh but it has some really gross sexual scenes that I could have done without. These certainly are not the Muppet's your children grew up with!!!
So you might have noticed that we try to go to the show on Tuesday's because with your Regal card it is half price popcorn day and no we do not put butter on it! Also if you ask they will pop a fresh batch for you! So it's popcorn and a large bottle water.

They all sound like good movies. I never saw the equalizer but I did used to watch the tv series. Of course the tv series didn't star Denzel Washington.

Hey Debby! I always enjoy your movie reviews! Thanks for sharing!
We've not frequented the local theater - yet. But now I'm going to look and see if any of these are still showing. I've always enjoyed Jennifer Gardner's work.
I love it and I am glad Mark went to some with you.
