Welcome Back Wednesday Hodgepodge
Thank you Joyce!

1. What has been the highlight of your summer so far? (It's still summer people!)
Definitely going to Florida with Amber in June to celebrate my dad's 95th birthday. We also had a great trip to Montana in August visiting with Amber and Dylan. To top those two things we had the pleasure of enjoying Adam and Gabby's baby shower on the 25th of August!
2. What do you wish you'd done more of this summer? Less of?
Done more of: I wish I had taken time to read a book.
Less of: Feeling sorry for myself.
3. Something you're looking forward to on your September calendar?
Bowling starts today and I'm looking forward to that. Not that I wants the months to fly by like they have been doing all year but I look forward to that first week in October when my grandson is due to arrive!!
My September calendar is filled with 7 doctor's appointments plus an x-rays and ultra sound. But that's okay because all my referrals to my current doctor's went through with our new Medicare insurance so I'm happy to have that sorted out.
4. Best/favorite book you've read this summer?
You can see my answer in #2 where I didn't read anything this summer. However that doesn't mean I haven't purchased a lot of books for my kindle. I can't pass up the free and 99 cent love stories.

The Old West - that is cute.
I am glad you had a nice time with Amber this summer. Never does seem like there is enough time does there?
Have fun bowling and going to the doctor this month - glad it worked out for you.

October will be here before you know it and so will that baby! Enjoy your bowling and I'm glad you got the doctor things worked out. The Old West!! That's funny!
I forgot to mention I relate to buying several books that never get read!
Hahaha...the old West. Too clever. Sounds like you had some great trips. How nice that you could celebrate your dad's 95th. Happy September to you!
That cartoon is a hoot! So glad your medical needs are being accepted by Medicare … I've just begun the process, and frankly, would rather submit to a root canal. LOL!
Have fun bowling! I could have read more too this summer.
Nice to visit you today on the Hodgepodge. I had time to participate this week.
the vote for highlights in the last two blog post is trip to FL. I met you on one of your visits and Myra this year. my highlight must be I LIVE IN FLORIDA.. ha ha… my book was the one that Myra picked, a killer mind, she told me and I read it and loved it. also found a new author that I am reading all his books as fast as I can.
You've had a busy summer and it sounds like fall will be more of the same.
I haven't bowled in such a long time. I used to enjoy it but wasn't that great
Have fun bowling!! I am so so bad at that.
You had a nice summer from east coast to west coast. :)
I am so glad you have your medical stuff figured out - and I certainly hope all goes well! Find time to read a book...♥
Hopefully September will fly by and Gabby will be having your little grandson before long! You had an eventful summer with the different fun things you did. It is hard not to feel sorry for ourselves, but we do have to remember how blessed we are. I've read a lot this summer, but for the life of me right now can I remember a single book I read?

Hi, Debby!! So glad to see the HodgePodge is back.
Thanks for the chuckle about the Old West.
Have a great day and yes, this year is going by too fast.
It is such an exciting time awaiting your little guy's arrival. My grandson is here right now and he is just so much fun. Also I am sleeping like a rock : ) He keeps us on our toes. I'm so glad we've connected through our blogs, and I look forward to hearing your big news and following along with the every day ordinary too.
WOW! I love to bowl - that must be so fun to do it consistently! I go once a year but I love it every time! I love your give thanks saying - perfect for me right now! Have a great week - hugs!
Since I've had nothing but time for lying around, I've read a ton this summer. I think I'm at 67 books so far this year.
Hi,
Looking forward to baby. :-) How exciting.
Good luck bowling! Keep us posted on how your team is doing for the season.

Wow, that baby due date is coming right up! Very exciting. Will you be going to Montana to stay for a while? Sounds like some nice things in your summertime. I hope you have a good September and I hope to see you around the blogs more frequently than I have been doing. xo
I love the bird. Did you make it?
Have a great weekend :)
I buy tons of books too, but probably have spent TOO much time reading lately. lol I just finished A Man Called Ove and I think it has a movie. It was so good, an easy read, and I'm going to look for the movie today!
