We celebrated Mark's birthday on Sunday. HERE
This may look like the table is set for Thanksgiving but it's actually more of a farm setting table to celebrate Mark's birthday. However we did have turkey and some of the fixings.
So every year Mark asks for a turkey dinner on his birthday. We moved to Southern California 30 years ago and every year Mark wants a turkey dinner! I have always said no because within a week I always had to cook a full turkey dinner with all the fixings.
This year we are joining in with Gabby's family at Adam and Gabby's house to celebrate Thanksgiving. We are bringing two dishes to share. So I won't be cooking this year so Mark finally got his wish to have turkey on his birthday!
Adam, Gabby and little JP (James) joined us for this celebration. We had turkey, mashed potatoes, baked sweet potatoes, corn, rolls, dressing, gravy, olives and pumpkin cheesecake for dessert.

Yum, I can't wait till Thursday when we'll be having our turkey dinner.
That turkey looks scrumptious.
I will be making chicken & dressing instead of a turkey.
Happy Thanksgiving :)
Yay for a turkey birthday dinner. growing up we only had turkey twice a year, TG and Christmas. sounds yummy and also looks pretty to, both the oven shot and the table
Ah! Happy Birthday. Ya, I wouldn't be too thrilled about doing two Turkey dinners in a week.
I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration.
I don't blame you, Debby, for now wanting to cook 2 turkeys so close together. Glad it worked out this year for Mark to get his birthday dinner of choice! Sounded delicious!
betty
DOUBLE the Thanksgiving yummies!!!
Mark can be thankful to two Thanksgivings! Wonderful. That turkey you cooked look good - how big was it?
That's pretty neat about Mark wanting to spend his birthday at home. (I'd always opt for a favorite restaurant, lol). Love your tablecloth!
That looks absolutely delicious!!!!
Well, that sounds pretty delicious, and so nice that Mark finally got his turkey wish. LOL
I love turkey dinners as much as the next person, but I sure wouldn't want to fix one two weeks in a row!
