Usually I don't get sick until after Christmas. It's a bummer being sick now. I should have my tree up. The house should be decorated. I should have Christmas cards in the mail.
It started two weeks ago. On Tuesday night I had a mild soar throat and in the morning it was in my lungs. I didn't go to bowling that Wednesday and have had way to many pajama days!
One thing you should know is that when you have a chronic illness you don't want people to know it. I wasn't contagious. So I did Mark's turkey dinner and the kids didn't have a clue how sick I was.
I even made my side dishes for Thanksgiving dinner at Adam & Gabby's and survived the day without anyone knowing. The last thing you want to be is different or have people feel sorry for you.
I finally broke down and got into my doctor's office for steroids and antibiotics but that was just the other day. When I don't feel well the last thing I want to do is leave the house. I was at a point where I felt a little better but knew I had to get on some medication.
Hopefully in a few days I will be myself again and I can get going on all of the above projects. It's early yet, it's not even December 1st! I've also been able to get some shopping done online with Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
I did however get to watch about 16 brand new 2018 Hallmark, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and Lifetime Christmas movies. Thank goodness for a DVR and other show times on these movie channels.

so sorry to hear this, I always watch a lot of TV when I feel ill to... hope you feel better soon and can get your decorations done. I am skipping mine this year
Hope your back up and running soon Debby! Maybe Mark will be able to help some more with things this year since he's retired?
betty
I was just thinking the same thing (as Betty suggested). You and Mark might even make a game of decorating. I've not yet lifted a finger, but figure it will all come together … splendidly imperfect! Feel better soon!
Oh no! I am so sorry!! That stinks begin sick now!! UGH!! At least you bite the bullet and got meds - hopefully they7 will kick in quickly! I really hope you feel better soon Debby!!!
I am so sorry you are that sick now. I hope you get better with your medications fast.
I LOVE THE HALLMARK SHOWS - I AM HALLMARK CRAZY!
Pajama days sound good, being sick doesn't. Smart move calling the doctor. You wouldn't want to be even worse when Christmas rolls around. Feel better soon
Bless your heart. Hope this is it for you all season long!
So sorry you've been sick. Pajama days and movies are good for a day or two, but then it's time to get going again! I pray your meds are working and you'll be decorating those trees in no time!
First, I'm very sorry you're feeling lousy.
And, do you think it might be time to revise some of your holiday traditions so that they don't feel so overwhelming? I'm letting the "shoulds" go this year and just doing what I really want to do. And I hope to continue that every year. I think it's time for me to start having a much more simplified Christmas.
