Gabby was trying on some of the Christmas outfits that JP received and sent me this picture. Isn't he sweet.....
We had the pleasure of sitting with him on Thursday evening. Adam and Gabby went out for a nice quiet dinner. He slept in my arms for over 2 hours and I loved it. Gabby asked why I didn't put him in bed. I told her I've been waiting a long time for this. As far as I'm concerned he can sleep in my arms all the time!
I've accomplished a good amount of shopping from home. I am still in need of suggestions from Adam and Gabby but theirs don't have to be shipped so I still have plenty of time. Other than Adam, Gabby and JP everyone else lives out of town and yes I still send presents. Usually gift cards and a small gift for everyone.
Today is the first day that I am starting to feel better. Hooray!!! It's only been 18 days. I'm not going to get super busy yet. The house will eventually get decorated before Christmas.
My priority right now is working on Christmas cards. The excellent photos we took on Thanksgiving arrived so I can put them into the Christmas cards. I need to print my labels. I will post our photos here on Christmas.
I'm going to work on things that have me sitting at the kitchen table filling in Christmas lists with what each person is getting and going through the items I have bought during the year. I ordered all my gift cards from Amazon today and tomorrow will be Target because their gift cards are 10% off this Sunday.
So far all we have is our Christmas tree up and it is beautiful all on its own without any ornaments on it. Adam and Gabby took one of our older trees and it looks perfect in their home. Our reindeer are out in the backyard and they are fun to look at sparkling in the darkness each night.
I'm just going to go with the flow this year, what gets done gets done and what doesn't doesn't! The one thing I don't need is stress. It showed its ugly face Thursday night at midnight when I had a A-Fib attack which usually takes a few hours to settle back into a normal rhythm.
I hope everyone is having a nice weekend. Wishing you all peace, joy, and happiness!

I bet holding that baby felt amazing. Babies are magic.
I'm glad you are feeling better. And also glad you are finding ways to bring some ease and balance into your holidays.
I am so with you on holding those babies. I loved it and am so happy for you to get to do that! He's adorable! You're really on top of everything. I've bought one gift. Nobody can tell me what they want.
your precious baby boy is getting big fast, he sure looks like he is growing a lot. glad you got to baby sit.. hang in there on the decorating and hope your heart is back in rhythm by now
What a sweet little guy. I wouldn't mind holding that whole time either.
I completely understand holding him for two hours while he sleeps... there's nothing more precious!!! He is a cutie and he will make Christmas more and more fun at your house! I'm glad you are feeling better.... don't over do it!
I would be holding him too - that period passes quite quickly. He is so cute. PLEASE take it slow - if your house does not ever get decorated for Christmas this season - so what. Right? I am glad you are feeling somewhat better too.
JP is adorable!! I too would have hold him the whole time! Nothing sweeter than a sleeping baby! Good for you for having the attitude of what gets done gets done. Don't need to stress about it but just to enjoy being together and making new memories now that JP is there :)
Glad too that you are feeling better!
betty
What a sweet baby, granny, aren't they precious. I am with you on the stress that's why I am not looking forward to the move we have coming up. I do hope we have time to put up a tree. Not going to put one up here.Take Care
Soooo glad you've adopted a 'let it be' attitude, Debby! I don't know of anyone who'd take a perfectly decorated home over a smiling, relaxed hostess.
JP is sure adorable. Has he begun to favor one parent over the other yet?
That is a beautiful baby! I would have spent the entire time holding that sweetness too.
I agree with your decorating mantra....what gets done gets done. I do hope you will show off your Hallmark tree though.
I always look forward to that.
Love that picture of JP. So adorable. I’m like you...hold that baby as long as you can. Have a blessed day.
AHHH holding that sweet baby is precious!!
Take care of you and I like your mantra of what gets done is done. Don't push yourself too hard.
Cute picture! Enjoy your grandbaby :)
Glad your beginning to feel better.
Merry Christmas!
What a cutie! Yes, keep your stress low, AFib is nothing to play around with for sure. Thankfully online shopping makes shopping a whole lot less stressful. Take care of yourself and have a happy week!
He is growing! I'm glad you got to spend some time with him :)
