I'm finding it very hard to get back into the swing of things. I'm just feeling sorry for myself. I was gone for 17 days visiting my dad in Florida and then we were gone for 11 days visiting Amber and Dylan in Montana.
Actually I was looking forward to August because most days were open compared to other months where several days were marked off on the calendar each week with places to go. (Note to self: busy is better)
Seriously other than unpacking my suitcase, doing laundry and eating I've done nothing but catch up on my TV shows and watch movies. By the way Stranger Things Season 3 is excellent!
I've been home for 10 days. Every day I tell myself tomorrow you are going to the gym. Well that hasn't happened yet!
Thankfully Skye has a vet appointment tomorrow morning and I have two doctor's appointments on Tuesday so I believe that both of those will get me back on track. I plan on going to the gym after I get home from Skye's appointment.
In another week Adam will be home for three weeks, taking his maternity leave, and we will be heading there hopefully at least two times each week.
Thankfully we were able to see this guy on Wednesday afternoon for a few hours. We picked him up at daycare and fed him his dinner. Adam and Gabby came home, gave him his bath and then he went to bed. Then we had a nice dinner with them.
He is the light of my life! James is very mobile now and before we know it he will be walking. You can see a bruise on his forehead from his excursions.....

What a cutie pie he is!
My neighbors are just home from two weeks in Cincinnati and I think they are experiencing some of what you have been. It takes awhile to reacclimate for sure. As I remember that is...haven’t been on vacation in over a decade so what would I know?
He is GORGEOUS - can I say that about a boy?
Are you saying that Adam works out of town and gets to come home for maternity leave????
I haven't had a vacation in years! lol
sandie
Yes! one of the things I dread about vacation is the re-adjustment when I come home. Little James is going to make it easier for you. Good luck on getting back to the gym,
Blessings,
Sue
He's so sweet!
Reestablishing a routine after being gone a while can be a challenge. Hope you get to the gym this week between visits with that adorable little boy.
I've not been on vacation, but have fallen off the exercise wagon, as well. Ugh. That's pretty great that Adam is granted maternity leave. So many benefits which didn't exist when my son was new.
I know how you feel Debby. I get into those funks too. I had one not too long ago.
Sending hugs.
James... he is so cute!!!!!
Vacation has a way of really getting things off track when you come back to reality.
Spending time with that little cutie would be the best. He is just so adorable
Little boys and bruises. Part of them growing up. The wee one is always pointing out "owies" to me that he has. James is so adorable! I can see how he lights up your life and I'm sure he will have you wrapped around his finger if he doesn't already!
You did have a busy June and July. You need to rest up from them, LOL@ I'm sure you'll be back on your schedule and get things done and to the gym very shortly!
Will Adam get paid for his paternity leave or does he have to use his vacation days?
betty
I am looking forward to my break in October, but dread going back to work after I get back. And it's only August now!
Hope you break the doldrums soon.
Well I have the "I want to go on vacation blues!" lol I can't bear to leave my sick and ailing dogs with anyone, so we are stuck at home this year. Your sweet boy is precious!!
hope you make it back to the gym, excericse is a habit and when broken hard to pic it up again. I have not spent a night away from home since 2008.
That's great that you get to spend lot sof time with the grandbaby.
I did absolutely nothing productive today and really enjoyed it!
