A lot of things going on which have kept me from blogging and not feeling like doing anything but watching old Hallmark movies on TV. Sure I went to bowling on Wednesday, had a doctors appointment, got gas, a car wash and groceries. Then on Thursday I had a hair appointment, went to Trader Joe's and See's candy.
My dad hasn't been doing well. Ended up in the hospital about two weeks ago and we thought he was doing better. He had been very dizzy and his blood pressure was very low. Spent the night and was released and has nurses coming in 3 times a week to check on him exercise him.
So yesterday he slipped and hit his head. Had stitches and his BP was over 200. They sent him home and he sounds good today but we are thinking he is having mini strokes but they are not finding anything other than the BP and being dehydrated.
So of course at my doctors appointment my blood pressure was 156/90 which isn't good. I'm really stressed about my dad and other things that are going on besides my dad. I also carry a great deal of stress because I am not there to help him and it falls on my sister and brother in law.
So I was supposed to check my BP several times a day, if it didn't go down I was told to double up on one of my BP medications. So I did that this morning and it's better, not great but definitely improved. So I'm just laying low and resting but I can't stop the stress I'm feeling.
So how about some pictures of James from last Friday.......
His little fort under his high chair.
He loves doing this. He also enjoys spinning himself
around and then he does a moonwalk.
It's hysterical!!!
Reading with Gramps!
Enjoying his little chair.

Happy birthday to Gabby and of course JP is as precious as he always is. I love his FEET. and the smile of course. if I stood on my head like that I would fall flat and not be able to get up. sorry your dad is not doing well.
Happy Birthday to Gabby!! Glad you guys will be celebrating together on Monday, Debby! James is so adorable! I know you and Mark cherish your times together with him. Sorry about your dad and his medical issues which in turn are causing you to have medical issues. I know it is hard to do, but try to just do what you can and allow the rest to go. If someone is bothering you about things, try to not have too much interaction with them, etc. Praying for you all in case there are decisions that need to be made regarding your dad's care down the line.

Sorry to hear about all your stress and I sure hope your dad is doing better soon. Extra time with James may be necessary :) He is such a little cutie pie. Happy Birthday to Gabby.
Happy Birthday to Gabby!! I am so sorry about your dad. That has to be hard when you aren't there. Be careful and take the blood pressure meds - a lot of things going on now. James is precious as usual. Happy Valentine's Day. sandie
Ask your sister and brother in law how they feel that everything falls on them regarding your father. Just talking about it with them, may help alleviate some of the stress you are feeling.
James is so cute! Look at pictures of him every time you feel a bit stressed, that should help as well...
Big klem
Taking care sick parents is hard. Both my parents are gone now and I don't regret spending time taking care of them. But it does take a tole, emotionally and physically. Your grandson is beautiful!
So sorry to learn of yours and your dad's health challenges! A life-long worrier, believe me. I know it's not so simple when people say don't stress.
How cool to have a V-day birthday! Gabby -- and now precious James -- are wonderful gifts to you and Mark!
Oh little James has had a hair cut hasn't he. Looks like a little man now. Sorry to hear about your dad. I know I was off BP meds for a couple of yrs and had to go back on them about 6 months ago, and probably due to all the stress and emotions I was dealing with. I am hoping that now that things are settling down we will find that the BP is better. Always hopeful for coming off some meds.
Sorry to hear about your Dad's health. My prayers are with you all.
Happy Birthday Gabby.
Hope you and your dad are better. That little one is so cute.
It's hard to watch a parent decline as they age. But you can't prevent it, and you need to be talking care of yourself.
Sending Prayers and Hugs for you and your father.
xx oo
Happy Birthday to your Gabby!
