1. Question day this week lands on Cinco de Mayo. Are/were tacos on your Tuesday night menu? Hard shell, soft shell or just gimme all the tacos? Are you even a fan of Mexican food? Do you like your salsa mild, spicy, or somewhere in between? Margaritas-Frozen, on the rocks, or no thank you? Have you ever been to Mexico?
No tacos on our menu, we already had a dish that we like scheduled for yesterday. Sliced onions, red peppers, Italian sausage mixed with olive oil and baked in the oven for an hour. However we do tacos from time to time.
Definitely soft shell and yes I am a fan of Mexican food. I like a mild or in between salsa. I will take my margaritas on the rocks. I haven't been to Mexico since I was a child.
2. What's something you may do this month?
3. Tell us what's happening in your state or town as far as restaurants/salons/parks/beaches/businesses opening up. How do you feel about it? Are you out and about or hunkered down? Do you wear a mask?
Honestly I don't know. It seems like some things will be opening. If things don't open soon our economy will never come back. We need Herd Immunity to get this virus under control, however seniors and people with chronic illness need to stay in until there is a vaccine.
I am hunkered down. Yes if I am out I do wear a mask and plan on wearing one until there is a vaccine available. At this point and time I will not be going back to bowling for the fall league.
4. Mother nature, everybody and their mother, mom jeans, like mother like daughter, soccer mom, mother hen, mother lode, necessity is the mother of invention, stay-at-home mom...pick one and tell us how it applies to your life right now.
I'm going to go with Mother Nature only because of the new garden. It has me excited, it is giving me something to do right now. It has motivated me to be outside in the back yard. Step away from the TV and computer Debby....
5. April showers bring May flowers...what's blooming in your yard or garden today?
We have a lot of things blooming.....bird of paradise, roses, oleander, hibiscus, lantana along with these:

I can't remember where I got this so if I stole
it from someone I'm sorry.

Debby, I love your yard and garden!
Also, whoever arranged those books is brilliant :)
I love your new garden, and I hope it brings you lots of joy!
I agree with you about herd immunity, and hope they'll get our economy up and running before it's too late...

we only have one thing blooming, the dwarf powder puff, and i agree your garden is exciting. and will be delish when the harvest comes in.. my favorite in your yard today are thoese ferns. gorgeous... the book sign is amazing. we both like taco's, he is soft me hard, but don't eat other mexican foods. we are non spicy people... he is taters and meat..
I do like your new garden - the book sign was cool. I like hard tacos. I wear a mask too - I wish everyone would wear a mask - I think that would take care of things.
I understand the economy and the scare. There is no good answer is there?
Oh, those books! Some people are so clever!
Love looking at your gardens, but I've a crazy aversion to sticking my fingers in the soil. How do you keep the wildlife from helping themselves?
Beautiful garden and flowers. We did a similar dinner- instead of red peppers we had potatoes. One of my favorites :)
That is neat with the garden! Good way to get outside and some fresh air taking care of it. I like that meal you made yesterday. What is the oven temperature? We got Mexican food last night and the drive through was out of tacos lol. Our state is opening up with retail and sitting down at restaurants. We are going to the grand reopening of son's restaurant next Wednesday. Got reservations already. I agree about herd immunity and I agree those at high risk like yourself will have to stay put for awhile.

I'm excited to watch your garden grow : ) I love your ferns too. We have some here and I think they're so pretty. Happy Mother's Day to you Debby! Stay well xo
Your garden is lovely! I especially love the ferns. Loved the bookshelf too... someone was very clever!
I used to like hard shell tacos but now I prefer soft. Mild Salsa, never had a margarita but I have been to Mexico.
The garden looks great
Those are great-looking raised beds. And the ferns are amazing!
