Of the words listed which ONE would you say should be in the number 1 spot? Which word/phrase on this list would you be happy to never hear again?
I'm thinking Covid-19, I seem to use that a lot but I also use Social Distancing often. The word I never want to hear again is impeachment.
2. What one word from your own list of words describing this year sums up/best reflects your 2020? Tell us why.
My 2020 has been difficult but also wonderful because I get to "social distance" with Adam, Gabby and James.
The three of them did not contact covid-19. Several others who were at the same house did have Covid-19 and they are all doing well. Very mild symptoms.
3. Do you like peppermint? Peppermint mocha, a candy cane, peppermint bark, peppermint tea, York Peppermint Pattie, peppermint ice cream...of the peppermint treats listed, which one is your favorite? Will you bake anything featuring peppermint this holiday season?
I like peppermint but I am definitely not a big fan. I would eat a Peppermint Pattie or a piece of Peppermint Bark if someone offered it to me. No I will not be baking with peppermint this year. I do like a mint ice cream but not peppermint!
4. Besides Christmas, what do you associate the color red with? How about the color green?
Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day.
5. Is your tree up? Real or artificial? Is your house decorated? Is your shopping done? Started? Wrapped? On a scale of 1-10 with 1 being Scrooge-like and 10 being Buddy the Elf, how's your Christmas spirit?
I am #1 on the sale right now. Normally I would be at least an 8 by now. I don't consider myself Scrooge because I really want to feel the spirit of Christmas but it just isn't coming to me. I'm normally a Buddy!
I did however order a lot of gifts cards today from Walmart and Amazon for the out of town gifts. I also have items from after Christmas sales last year that I bought as gifts for this year.
My trees are artificial because of the time they take to put up and I leave them up for several weeks. It just works better.

I have done no decorating so far and I only bought 2 small gifts. I may just get a bunch of gift cards and call it a year.
"Impeachment" is always going to be used as most politicians are corrupt idiots. *lol* I'm not sure which dictionary word I'd pick but I think it would be "coronavirus". ~Andrea xoxo
I really enjoyed your answers today.
Hope the Christmas spirit gets better for you.
Have a good Wednesday my friend.
I am not a peppermint fan. I do like the little soft peppermint sticks where to get at Cracker Barrel but that's about the only peppermint I would eat and since I gave up sugar I would not be eating that now. I am and always have been a scrooge. We don't do gifts so no shopping needed.
Love your random thought Debby! I always cringe when I hear people say we are in this together. I like a peppermint candy after a good meal. Are you doing a lot of decorating this year?
Betty
I'm feeling a little Scrooge-like myself so far this year, but I did get all my shopping finished at least :)
I love and need your thought there.
So glad that your kids did not get Covid.
I was thinking of a new word or thought - it is simply '2020'.

I'm glad your bunch didn't catch Covid19.
I have been glad to do orders online this year. It has been fun. I think I"m mostly done with shopping (maybe?). I need to figure out when to wrap.
God bless you!
Good morning Debby. We all seem to be in agreement this week on many of the answers to the questions. Glad that those you know have mild symptoms. Happy December to you and yours!
Hi Debby,
I am happy that your family is doing better and those who had the virus had mild symptoms.
Sam's girlfriend had the virus in early November. She still has not gotten her sense of taste back to 100%.
I'm glad everyone is feeling better and your family did not end up with Covid. Christmas will look different this year, so I say do what works for you in this strange year. It's okay not to decorate at all or just do something on a small scale. I am reading along with She Reads Truth this advent season and it is helping me refocus, a nice break from all the many things that bring anxiety. Take care and may you feel much love and peace this holiday season.
Amen on your random thought. So very true!!
Thanking God that Adam and family did not contract the virus! I don't know anyone who still puts up a real tree. The last one we had in Arizona killed my Electrolux. (LOL) Ours went up last night and there it will stay until the Epiphany. For what it's worth, I'm about #1 this year, too.
I like peppermint in small doses and especially like thin mint ice cream. I don't think I will bake with it this year..actually I'm not sure how much baking I will accomplish this year myself.
Hubby got the outside lights up yesterday and the wreath is on the door...that about does it so far..I dread dragging in all the stuff and going to "town" decorating. Happy when its done though.

I vote for Covid-19, but in spite of some dental and health problems, 2020 has been a good year for us. We don't have many more left so we're not wishing our life away.
I'm thankful with you that your dear ones did not contract Covid-19.
I agree with the fake tree (first time for us) because we can leave it up a long time and not lose all the needles.
I'll take all your peppermint :)
Have a good week!
