So Tell Me....
Let's talk about you .....
1. Music. What kind of music do you enjoy? Are you musical?
I enjoy Smooth Jazz and a variety of other songs. Of course I love Christmas music too and no I am not musical.
2. Travel. Where have we been? What's your favorite destination(s)?
I've been in several states in the United States. As far as out of the country I was in Europe for 3 weeks in 2011.
I was in Cancun in November 4 years ago for Adam and Gabby's wedding. An all inclusive hotel is so much fun and I'd love to go back but I would really love to go back to Europe.
3. Occupations. Did you end up working at what you wanted to be? Do you wish you'd done something else, if so, what? etc.
I always wanted to be a housewife and mother. I worked as a secretary after high school and a few other jobs before we had our children. Then I went back to work for several years when we were divorced.
Then I didn't go back to work until the kids were almost done with High School. That's when I worked at a Hallmark store for 7 years. I can't think of anything I would have rather have done.
4. How do you keep from being bored?
I can't say that I am ever bored. However I will say that I'm pretty lazy. Working was really good for me and I should have continued longer.
We had moved about 25 miles away from the Hallmark store so I had left about 2 years after we moved. I should have pursued something closer to home at that time.

Hi Debby, what Hallmark store did you work at? I use to go to the one in Sierra Del Oro and was sad when it closed. Then I went to the one off Cajalco and now it is closed. I finally just ordered some ornaments on line. I was in Lake Matthews this weekend for a birthday party. Have a great week!
Wow, how wonderful to have been in Europe for 3 weeks! I would love to go to Europe, but doubt I'll ever make it. Never been outside the USA except for a brief trip in and out of Canada and saw Niagara Falls. I used to love to go to the Hallmark Store...not sure where there is one now. Do they still have them? My sister buys me a Hallmark Madame Alexander Christmas ornament every year. I use them in my dollhouse! LOL. Enjoyed your answers.
You have led a full life and have been to Europe and I have never been anywhere except the USA. You landed in the right place the Hallmark store since you have so many of the ornaments I'm wondering if that's how you got started collecting them
I loved the times I spent in Italy, but not sure I could do 3 weeks ... good for you! Sad to say, with everything going on in the world today, I'm reluctant to travel outside the US. I miss browsing in the Hallmark store! I was about to say, there aren't any more. But no, I just Googled and there are TWO in the whole state. Sad!
I’d love to go back to Europe too
I sure would like to go back to Europe too. If my kids didn't all live close by I would very possibly consider living abroad, but having the family all together in one place is more important to me.
Sounds like a wonderful life and you are NOT LAZY girl.
Staying home with Josh is probably the happiest I ever was. I think Hallmark would be a fun job. I am glad to be working at this time in my life, but I do love to stay home. Loved your answers! Have a nice week!

I have the same sort of "should have", Debby. I should have kept working too, even after I started homeschooling. I worked as an RN in the OB dept of our local hospital. I quit but I should never have. I should have at least worked one shift per week to keep up my skills. Shoulda, woulda, coulda.... too late now. ~Andrea xoxoxo
I haven't been very many places. The furthest I've ever been though was Mexico. It was a family trip with my parents when I was 7 or 8
My daughter loves the Hallmark store.
I prefer traveling in the US. That is very wonderful you have traveled so extensively. I like traveling by train or car too. I love short trips that are packed with lots to see and do. It is always nice to see you wherever I go in blogland. Have a wonderful week.
I used to love browsing in Hallmark stores, but the one in our town closed over 20 years go. Now that you mention it, I miss it.
Hubby likes smooth jazz too, Debby :) I've come to sort of like it, lol :) I always enjoy looking through Hallmark stores. We have one close by that also has a post office annex in it so it gets a lot of business through there. I can't believe your Europe trip was 10 years ago! I did enjoy you sharing it with us :)
betty
My Hubby and I love to travel and have been to many places..Wish we could afford to do it again. Been to Kenya, Israel, Haiti, Nicaragua,Uzbekistan, Mexico, Canada, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Russia.
Its a great big wonderful world out there.
Love most music except for Rap, Hip Hop and that whole genre...
I so enjoy going to our Hallmark store..I sure hope it stays open.
Worked before children and for 30 years was a stay at home "mom". Back for about 15 years in the tour and event business and now Hubby and I just enjoy our retired lives.
