Thank you Joyce.
1. What obligation do you believe you have to your country?
I just couldn't come up with anything because my brain is on overload right now. There are obviously many, many things we are obligated to do. I did look this up and found many interesting answers but right now I don't feel like all of them relate to what our country is going through right now. This is a whole new ballgame.
2. October 12 is National Farmers Day? Do you know any farmers? What do they farm/grow/raise? Are there any farm stands where you live? Do you shop there?
I don't believe I know any farmers but I do know some people who have extensive gardens. No we do not have any farm stands near us. I would shop them if we had them. I used to go to a Farmer's Market but haven't seen anything since Covid started.
3. What's a skill you think everyone should have? Tell us why?
I'm drawing a blank again but something that came to mind was how to jump start a car or change a tire. I'm sure I will read some really good answers.
4. Favorite thing you've purchased this year?
Recently we purchased a patio cover in the backyard. We have been in this house for 15 years. I don't know why we waited this long. I believe it has more to do with Mark being retired for 3 years now so we end up sitting outside during the day more often. We do have a table with chairs and an umbrella in another area in the yard but this year it has been way too windy to open the umbrella.
5. What's your favorite place to visit in the fall?
There is a place called Oak Glen which has several orchards which we normally have gone to each year. We would buy apples and a pumpkin. I miss going since Covid had started. They are open now but we haven't had time to go. Maybe we should go in a few weeks. 6. Insert your own random thought here.
I had all kinds of issues doing this post. It kept spacing things funny. It would not give me my justify which I like to use.
So as you know I have company coming today. I've been cleaning house and shopping the last few days. I'm tired. Today I have bowling and an errand to run.
Then I have a hair appointment at 4 pm but need to make a few stops before that. (See's Candy and Trader Joe's) Believe me that was the only appointment I could get with my hairdresser when I called a few weeks ago. Amber and Dylan might be here before I get home. :(
However the time with them should be wonderful and I won't be going to bowling next week. I will be missing in action on reading blog posts like I mentioned before in my other posts. Take care everyone!

i have no answers for any of these questions. but i did read your answers. i drew a blank on all of them. have a wonderful week with your daughter and son in law...
None of these are easy questions to answer.
I would love to put a roof over my deck on the back of the house. I haven't used the deck for the last couple years because it's just too hot out there and the umbrella just isn't very convenient a lot of times.
Enjoy your visit with Amber and Dylan
My grandfather was a farmer (cattle) and my other grandfather was a labourer with an allotment on which he grew the family’s vegetables.
Not an easy Q-and-A this week! Love your new patio cover. Tom's been saying he wants one, so I'm anxious to show this to him.
I hope you have a great time with Amber and Dylan. Take care my friend.

Those questions were deep! You have your mind on your company! I hope you have a FANTASTIC visit - NO WORRIES. I love the overhang on your patio.
I hope you have a great visit!
Enjoy your family!!!
I like the patio cover. We would like to build a screen porch.
Nice to visit you today, it's been a while since I've blogged or visited.
Enjoy your time with your company!
Favorite place to visit in the fall? Our land for a picnic supper and to take pictures.
My sister and her adult daughters and grandkids went to Oak Glen on Monday. I think they try to go every Fall. Enjoy your company!!
I'm still out of sync with my blog since the kids were here. I have my mom visiting for a few more days and she likes my undivided attention, so not a lot of blogging here this week either. No matter...enjoy your family!
Enjoy your time with your family and just relax and have some fun. Your answers were fine...and I'm glad you were able to fit this one in before you take off for a while. Take care and God bless!! Love your patio roof. Great idea!! Yes, umbrellas don't hold up very well in the wind, we've found out here too. One big gust of wind can topple the umbrella with the table attached just like that. Been there, done that!! Bye for now, and have fun!
Enjoy your family time...make lots of memories and don't work yourself into a frenzy..
Don't think I will answer any of the hodgepodge this week..I'm afraid I would get into a downward negative spiral..
Enjoy and look forward to hearing all about life when "company" is gone.
Sue
Your patio cover is so lovely, enjoy your family, Debby, We had company last week it was so wonderful to be able to visit again.
blessings,
Sue
Your answers were great. That patio cover will be nice to have. Enjoy your time with your family. That will be nice.
Your patio cover looks great!! I want something like that.
My middle and high school years we lived on a small farm, raising beed cattle, corn and a bog vegetable garden. I kept pigs myself. It's a lot of work. It worries me to see family farms squeezed out of business in favor of huge commercial farms.
