2. Do you have the 'gift of gab'? Is that a blessing or a curse?
I guess that I might have the gift to gab at times. I don't think it is a curse. However, when I'm on steroids for my lungs Mark will say it's a curse because I never shut up!
3. What's something you have going on that you need/want to 'wrap up' this month?
We still have a few phone calls to make and paperwork to fill out and mail regarding my brothers estate.
4. A food you love that is 'wrapped' in some way?
I'm having trouble coming up with a food that is wrapped other than something that is fast food or a candy bar. I look forward to reading your answers.
5. December is upon us...share something here (quote, verse, poem, song lyric, your own thoughts) related to the word hope.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
My big tree is done, my miniature tree is done, my Jim Shore Christmas pieces are on the hutch and the nativity is on the mantel. I have more to do but I also realize that I must downsize again. I did that a few years ago. I gave a lot away to some friends but still have about 400+ ornaments I don't use anymore.
I did the front of the tree for James this year. Ornaments he will love to see. We will be setting up a small Christmas train that we have and I will be putting out my full collection of the singing Snowmen from Hallmark.
I got rid of three trees and purchased a 4 1/2 ft tree for the living room. It should arrive today! The tree I had was colored lights and rather bushy. I now like an open tree so ornaments can be woven in and out throughout the tree. I won't be putting out my collectible tins or my water globes but not getting rid of them yet.
Then I have a project for James when they come over before Christmas. I have a large collection of Christmas plush so I'm going to have him set them out on the two sofas in the living room. It should be fun to see what he does. I'll take pictures. I also have a Gingerbread house to do with him. It's already together so he just needs to put the decorations on it.
Also my Christmas cards arrived yesterday. I will have to share a photo with you. I still need to print out my labels. Also, all of the Christmas shopping is done!!! I accomplished so much since the last Hodgepodge.
Okay, I'm done being gabby!!!

I do a combination of making and buying. The making kind of depends on my mood though.
I only have the gift of gab if I am with someone that I know really well.
James is going to love your tree full of ornaments!!!
i have never made a homemade gift, not my thing and no one would want it if i did make one... you could list your 400 on ebay and sell as a collection.. My gift of gab is not a curse or is a curse depending on whom you ask. ha ha... I rarely stop talking long enough to listen which is not good for others.. I love talking to strangers for short periods of time and miss doing that these past 2 years. sounds like you are ready, waiting to see how your tiny decorating partner helps you
Singing snowmen? I love that idea, and can't wait to see your pictures. I'm generally quiet around those I don't know well; but once I do, watch out! (lol)
Wow - I am so behind in my decorating. I haven't even started yet. Hopefully, we can decorate some this weekend.
I love your paragraph about hope!!
What a beautiful quote, Debby!! Thank you for sharing it... and for all you other answers too. ~Andrea xoxoxo
You are way ahead of me, but I don't put that much up either. James is going to love it at your house! I bet it is beautiful!
Wow! You are really on the ball. I'm looking forward to seeing how James does the plush items and his gingerbread house. Have fun!!
Wow, you really have a handle on the Christmas decor! Well done. I'm kind of in the middle. I have to address our cards and write a Christmas letter yet. Happy December to you.
Hi, I love the idea you have for James to decorate with the plush Christmas items. I cannot wait to see what he does.
Enjoy the season.
Carla
Merry Christmas, Debby! I love your answers.🎄
PS~ Just to let you know, Debby, I bought Nikki Banas' book for each of my adult "girls" for Christmas. I was at a loss as to what to get them. I always buy them (my two daughters & my daughter-in-law) a little something for Christmas just from me but hadn't yet this year because I didn't know what to buy. But I looked up Nikki Banas and BAM... the decision was made. So thank you for that, my friend. XOXOXO
