1. It's National Popcorn Day-my favorite! Are you a fan? Sweet or salty? A good or great movie you've seen recently (at home or in a theater, either one)?
Yes I am a fan. Haven't been to the show since the pandemic started. We have a hot air popper here at home. I don't do salty. I will put some unsalted butter on it. We don't have it very often.
I recently watched Sandra Bullocks new movie "The Unforgivable" on Netflix. Not an easy watch but I am glad that I saw it. I like her as an actress. I am no longer up to speed on movies and it's actually rather depressing for me. I've been a movie goer my whole life.
I also watched "tick, tick...BOOM!" and I loved it. You would have to be a fan of musicals and the movie Rent. Andrew Garfield (Spider-Man) was excellent! I saw "Dear Evan Hansen" but wasn't as impressed with it as much as I thought I would. Can't wait to see West Side Story but have to wait until it comes to a premium channel.
2. What's something you didn't realize was going to take so much of your time as an adult?
I haven't got a clue. Maybe taking care of a house and keeping it clean.
3. Your favorite yellow something?
Well yellow is my favorite color. I could list a lot of things. I will go with my giraffe figurine collection.
4. Why do you write?
Good question. I guess it's because I have to answer questions....LOL!
5. Share a favorite memory associated with snow.
I have so many good memories about snow growing up in a suburb of Chicago. Lost of snow storms over the years. It was just a part of life. I didn't know anything different.
I guess one would be us coming home with Adam from the hospital in January 1979 and we got over 20 inches of snow.
Another memory of snow was taking the kids up to Wrightwood which was about 31 miles from our home in Fontana, CA. We get there and see that Amber was wearing sandals!! How did we miss that before we left.

I haven't had popcorn in a long time. I had an air popper years ago. I think I got rid of it and started doing microwave popcorn instead.
I eat popcorn for dinner 3 or 4 times a week. I love salty or sweet but no longer eat the sweet ones. I do mine in the microwave. funny snow story is Mama sliding down the mountain on her butt laughing and screaming help me when her feet went out from under her while we were walking down the mountain. we were in KY and had never seen snow, I was 11 she was 30. looks like you are well on your way to house back to normal.

I highly recommend West Side Story. I had a friend who used to live in Wrightwood. It must be a beautiful area. So funny about the sandals!
I was in Chicago with you in 1979! We just moved from Des Plaines to Lake Zurich. The moving van packed the driveway so bad - we had ice until late April! That is one snow I will never forget. Kelly wasn't a year old yet!

I LOVE popcorn (with garlic salt) but haven't had any in a very long time. Tonight, perhaps, all that will change!
I've not heard of 'The Unforgivable' but will look for it. Tom doesn't seem to mind, but little has been on except playoff football or HGTV. (Yawn)

You are the second hodgepodger in a row who's favorite color is yellow. We do enjoy musicals. Fun S&P collection and great way to display them. Our oldest was born in January of 1979, too, but in sunny Southern California!
I think you are the first person I know, Debby, that has yellow as their favorite color :) I like it! That is too funny about the sandals with Amber and going to the snow back then. I bet it wasn't funny at the time but you probably laugh about it now. Wow, something to remember about Adam's birth and coming home with all that snow! Good work you did taking down Christmas and putting back your usual decorations!

I do love yellow too..I guess the yellow sunshine pouring in my kitchen window is a favorite.
I do like to write and love to get handwritten letters. There is something so personal about that.
Well I would say its not a favorite memory of the snow, but when the boys were young we were heading up to the mountains for a weekend snow time. I had a kidney stone attack in the car on the way up there and spent hours and hours in the ER before going ahead up to the snow. I was a total blob and on meds for the rest of the time..

I read more than sit through a movie. However, when I do watch a movie I enjoy buttered and salted popcorn. I also like sweet popcorn and kettle corn. I enjoy popcorn.🤗
We're HUGE Sandra Bullock fans; I wasn't sure about this new movie, though. I'll have to watch it and see how it goes. I'll definitely look up tick...tock...BOOM (LOVE musicals).
Don't feel bad about Amber: 1 Friday we went to a football game & realized our youngest didn't bring a coat. We had to run to KMart to get 1 for him since it was supposed to be around 32 that night.
I like Sandra Bullock too. I did not know about this movie.
How fun to have a giraffe figurine collection. I do think giraffe are beautiful animals.
