1. The Wednesday Hodgepodge landing on Groundhog's Day sounds about right. Besides the Hodgepodge what else lands on your calendar just once a week? Is it as much fun as the Hodgepodge-ha!?
Bowling is on my calendar each Wednesday. Yes and no. It is fun to see my friends but wearing a mask for 3 hours is very difficult for me.
2. The Winter Olympics begin on Friday, surrounded by much controversy. Will you be watching? Why or why not? Have you ever been to China?
I'm going to try. I love the figure skating and several other events. I have my DVR ready to record the programs. I have to admit that because of Covid-19 I am very disappointed that it is in China. However I am going to cheer on our athlete's.
3. Something in your life lately that has felt a bit like an 'olympic event'?
Packing up Christmas! As it turned out I had lung issues again after babysitting. Hopefully I will be done soon.
4. Do you like fondue? Sweet or savory? Restaurant only or do you own your own fondue set?
Yes but it has been years since I've had any. I think both are good. I did own a set years ago.
5. Give us five short (2-3 word) phrases to sum up your January.
Great football - Adventures in babysitting - Adam's birthday celebration - Packing up Christmas - Making trip plans -
6. Insert your random thought here.

I've never gotten in to watching the Olympics. I may have seen an event here and there over the years but other than I really had no interest.
I've also never had fondue.
I have never had fondue. Only seen it in movies or would not know what it is. I only watch the skating, I love the couples skating best. bob watches some of it, he likes the runners and swimming and gymnast . I see some of it passing through the living room.
i have nothing on a calendar that happens each week. i do clean the bathrooms at 5 am every Friday, and mop/vac every Saturday at 5 am and do the linens on sat. the only thing ever on the calendar once a week was several years of tops, but that stopped 2 years ago.
we watched a movie last night that both of us said this morning as we talked about it, the best one we have seen in months. On prime, the name is The Family Stone... I was shocked bob loved it
Love your random thought and couldn't agree more. You can do this, and I know you look forward to looking back and seeing what all you were able to accomplish. You've got this, girl!
I would not want to wear a mask while bowling! I thank my ;lucky star every day we live in Florida where we can choose to wear it or not.
I hope you feel better real soon, Debby. It's such a cross you carry! :( ~Andrea xoxoxo
I hope you feel better too. I wonder if the groundhog saw his shadow I did not hear.
I didn't even know the Olympics were starting - I like the figure skating too.
Good bit of advice there at the end.
Terrific goals Debby. Sorry you have lung issues and pray they will pass too.
Let's see....

2. We will probably watch a lot of it because we enjoy the ski races, and ice skating..hate all the controversy. It's taken what the Olympics really was all about out of the equation. So sad. Never been to China and we love to travel but that's never been high on our list of visits.
3.Yes selling on eBay..research on products, photographing and getting them up in the site, packing the sold items (well so they don't break)and then going to the postoffice to mail the said items..
exhausting but at least Dave and I do it together.
4.Boy I haven't thought about fondue for years. We used to do it at get togethers and parties. Starting off with cooking meats and ending with sweet morsels.
5. Birthday...feeling old....having winter colds....enjoying some family get togethers...celebrating 58 years of marriage
6. A new year wonder what's in store for all of us?
I'm so sorry to hear you're still experiencing lung issues! Fondue? I love the cheese dip; not so much the peanut oil. Sure, back in the day it was entertaining, but so labor intensive! I've seriously thought about buying another to do fruit and chocolate ... and then remembered we no longer entertain. LOL!
So sorry to hear about our ongoing lung issues. Hope they are resolved soon. I can't imagine wearing a mask to bowl, but glad you're able to get out and get back into the things you enjoy.
Hope your lungs clear up for you. I can't imagine doing any sport with a mask on. Yikes! Happy February to you!
Sorry to hear about your continued lung issues, Debby. Hoping they will improve soon! Does sound though that you did have a good January with some fun things! I agree, wearing a mask for 3 hours does sound like it could be taxing. I wear one at work but we can have it off our face if we are working at our desk with no one around us. Have you ever been to a Melting Pot restaurant? We went to one both in Dana Point and Temecula when we lived in the area. Loved their fondue there (but not necessarily the price lol :)
betty
Hi,
Hope your lung issues will heal. Praying for you.
I give you credit for continuing to bowl, with the mask on. I would find that difficult.
Enjoy the Olympics.
Carla
Hi Debby, thanks for visiting my blog. I bet these Santa Ana winds make it hard for you to breath. They even bother me! Seems like we have had a lot more wind that normal. Sorry about your school days. Hopefully we can meet in the spring when the weather is better and Covid is not as bad.
Hopefully you are feeling better. Packing for Christmas can definitely be an Olympic event. I've been making trip plans too. We have two planned for this year.
