I'm torn between my wedding day and the birth of my children. The reason I would want to relive those days is because my parents were there, along with other family members who are now gone and I miss them.
Actually I have another one that came to mind which is time at the cottage my parents had on a small lake. Those were the best of times and my children even got to enjoy it with their cousins. Then we moved away.
3. Something you enjoy making that takes a long time to prepare/cook?
That's a good question. I'm going to say my lasagna. I haven't made it in years. Of course I could also say my Hoska sweet bread that I make at Christmas.
4. A time recently where you needed/gave yourself a 'time out'? How do you do that?
Well I'm thinking this doesn't apply to me because I seem to give myself to much 'time out' each day. I am however getting a referral to see someone for my depression.
5. Something you've done recently that you'd describe as a 'good time'?
Seeing Adam, Gabby and James almost every weekend is a good time. I had lunch recently with my friend Kendra after bowling which was fun. Talking to Amber on the phone is a good time too!
6. Insert your own random thought here.
Yes, we saw Adam, Gabby, James, Roxy and Gracie on Sunday night.

I never seem to have enough time for anything. Of course the real problem is that I have the time I just don't take advantage of it.
I don't know if there is any one day that I would want to relive. Rather than going back I would prefer to slow things down.
I think the trip this past Saturday would be the most recent thing I did that I consider a good time.
I agree, I have plenty of time to do whatever I want to do, but my want to needs adjusting. Yes, praying for your safety and enjoyment.
there is only one day in my life I want to relive, the day I made the biggest mistake EVER in my entire life back in Sept of 1983. I want to do it again so i can NOT make that mistake. no way is there anything I love to cook. I could make a list of things I love to eat if someone else cooks them. have a safe and fun trip to see your daughther.
Well first of all have a great trip next week.
I think I might want to relive my wedding day.
I seem to never have enough time to finish things completely before I have to go somewhere else or do something else.
I love the pictures of your past! Happy times.
Time at the cottage on the lake looks so wonderful. Take care my friend and be safe next week.
I am glad you have your childhood memories with your time. Good that you are seeing someone for your depression. I suffered that with years and took medication. I did find that when I increased my vitamin D and got more sun, I felt way better! Have a great time with your family in Montana.
Sometimes our electronics do get in the way of getting things done. We host a young adult group in our house each week and last night we talked about setting boundaries with our devices. It is always so interesting to hear their thoughts. I'm glad you are going to see someone about your depression.
Really there is always time to do what we really want to do but life does press in. I often go on "rabbit trails" instead of doing what needs to be done.
Its hard to choose a single day...any of the days that have special friends and loved ones in them. Marriage, children, laughter and surprises..memories
I really don't enjoy cooking and if something has so many directions and "fancy" stuff I probably won't make it.
I think my "time out" was for 11 years I would join the kitchen team and go with my church down to Mexico for two weeks of serving. It was hard work but wonderful work and I didn't have the responsibilites of home. It gave Dave a vacation too...
Will pray for safe travels for you and Mark, Debby. I know you are excited to see Amber and Dylan! The weather hopefully should be great for you guys! That looked like a lovely place with the cottage your parents had! A great way to spend some time together and enjoy summer fun! I am glad you are getting a referral to help out with your depression. I'm hopeful it will help you feel better and perhaps get motivated to do some things around the house! James is such a blessing indeed!

Plenty of prayers for a safe trip. I hope you have a great time. ❤️
Look how grown up your little guy is getting to be! Enjoy time away, time with your daughter, and safe travels to and fro. I hope your trip is full of lots of bright moments. Take care.
Hi Debby, Praying right now for that drive to Montana and for your depression. Hope you get the good help. Those memories sound like good ones. I'm late in visiting hodgepodgers this week. Take care...
You must have had wonderful times at that lake cottage - love the photo from days gone by!
I enjoyed your answers. A lake cottage would be wonderful. My daughter actually requested lasagna for dinner next week.
Hello Friend,
How was your trip? I do hope you will do a post on it. I was praying for you, for your travels, health and visit.
I want to try your Hoska sweet bread, sounds wonderful. I enjoyed all the photos you shared in this Hodgepodge. :-) xx oo Carla
I adore old pictures... mine or someone else's. So much nostalgia contained in them. I find myself thinking more & more about the past, the older I get. ~Andrea xoxo
