2. What's a food you eat that evokes a memory? Explain.
I'm going to say potato salad because it always reminds me of the lovely family picnics I went to as a child with our Presbyterian Church. I do have a photo but couldn't find it last night.
3. This week's Hodgepodge lands on National Visit Your Relatives Day. Will you celebrate by visiting a relative? If so is travel involved? Geographically, who is your nearest relative (not counting those living in your own house)?
No, I will not be visiting a relative today. I will be visiting James tomorrow and him, along with his parents, are the only relatives is California.
4. What's your most frequently used emoji? Do you make more phone calls, send more emails, or mainly text to communicate with friends and family?
Face blowing a kiss is used most frequently and a text message or email is used most often with family and friends.
5. Tell us the story behind a favorite piece of furniture.
I have several favorite pieces of furniture. I don't have time to find all of the pictures right now. I have a hutch that is in our family room that belonged to my grandparents on my mother's side.
We have a beautiful carved dining room set that belonged to Mark's grandparents.
I have a Singer sewing machine which my grandfather, on my mother's side, used for tailoring.
Then I also have my grandmother's wooden ironing board on my mother's side. I love all of them!!!
6. Insert your own random thought here.

Sorry to hear about your trip to the ER. I hope the pills work and you're feeling better soon.
Oh no on the ER trip. I am happy you will see the primary Friday. I see mine tomorrow but just annual stuff. your favorite furniture all sounds like things I would like. maybe you could do a post sometimes of the furniture, instead of old photos just snap a pic of each one with your phone... advice from the MADsnapper. ha ha. No fav furniture here, I would love to pack my SUV with my clothes and a few personal things and walk out and live in a hotel or buy other stuff.. Happy BD to Amber..
Happy birthday Amber!!
Sorry to hear about your pain, Debby. I'm glad you did get in to the ER. I wish there was a way to make the visits not be so long there to get the relief you needed. Hope the shot helps! Do they recommend any further testing?
I think it is good that you are following up with a psychiatrist. This whole pandemic thing really caused so much stress plus you had your dad's passing and your brother's passing, etc. It will be a big help to you I believe to talk with someone and get some help in that regard.
WTG on not drinking wine for 9 weeks! I've cut down how much I have drunk a lot and go weeks now without having much. I feel better and sleep better :)
So much nice "old" furniture you have! Such great heirlooms I do believe!
betty
Sorry to hear about your pain but glad to hear you're on the mend.
Happy Birthday to your daughter. Hope your back is feeling better.
Happy birthday Amber. Feel better.
Happy Birthday to Amber! That 'test to see how you think' sounds fascinating. I love that sort of thing! Feel better soon!
Happy birthday Amber~
Gosh Debby you have a lot going on again. I am so sorry about your back pain. I hope the pills can take some of the pain away.
Okay I looked up the Psychiatrist test and I do think I am going to take it too!
Have a good day. sandie
Happy Birthday to your dear Amber. Wishing you could be with her, but know how special your visits with Adorable James are for you. So sorry about your lengthy stay in ER, but glad you were able to get some relief and good reports. Wine is a stimulant so you probably were getting the opposite results from drinking it. Congrats on weaning off it and allowing you to deal with your issues in a healthy manner.
I'm so sorry about the pain and your trip to the ER, but glad you're feeling a little better. Hope the pills help. Happy birthday to your daughter.
I'm sorry about the pain and the long wait at the ER.
😒
Sending prayers and good wishes.
A wooden ironing board...cool. Sorry for your pain. That's hard. Glad you have that little Grand close by. Happy Birthday to Amber!!
We are all so different in how we handle things. My husband does not do well when things go wonky. I can go with the flow more easily. Love potatoe salad. I wish I had more furniture or things like that from family. I have a few pieces from my mom but maybe because we never lived near extended family, that when grandparents passed away we couldn't really bring anything here...(well we could but that would be really expensive). I hope you're feeling better.
So sorry to hear about your trip to the ER yesterday, but glad they were able to figure out the source of the issue. Back/shoulder/neck pain are no fun. I dealt with a lot of that last year and ended up with neck surgery, but I am so much better now. Yes, it comes with the territory of getting older, I am sorry to say. Oh, I know a visit with your sweet James will make everything so much better! And Happy Birthday to your pretty Amber! Have a blessed and wonderful time tomorrow and the rest of the week. Hope you continue to feel better.
Sending HUGS Debby. I hope you are feeling better soon.
My Atticus and your Amber share the same birthday. :-) I enjoyed the photos.
Oh Debby, I'm so sorry about your pain! You must have had a LOT of it, if it sent you to the ER. You poor soul!! I'm happy about your good blood work readings even tho they didn't provide much of an answer for you. I hope you get the pain resolved quickly!
Happy Birthday Amber.... and many many more!! ~Andrea xoxo
I'm sorry you were hurting enough to need an ER visit.
We have several pieces of furniture handed down from family and I love them, too.
