As you already know we flew to Houston at the end of April to visit with Mark's mom Vivian. The trip was set up for two reason. Reason one, we haven't seen her in a few years, and reason two was for James to meet his Great Grandmother.
Everything went as planned. Mark and I flew there on a Thursday and went home on Monday evening. Adam, Gabby and James flew there on Saturday and went home on Monday morning. It was a great visit, short and extremely sweet.
James enjoyed his first flight on a plane and loved seeing the clouds out the window. Now when he see's a plane in the sky it is flying to great grandma's house. We didn't do a lot. We mainly visited and had fun with James.
The first night when he went to bed he came out a few minutes later and gave Great Grandma, Mark and I kisses. It was so precious. Adam and Gabby were with him because it was a new sleeping experience for him. My mother in law can't stop talking about him. She is 94 years young. James was as friendly as can be.
I'm going to share some photos from the trip......

I love this post so much!! Your mother in law "Vivian" looks wonderful for 94 years old! My mother in law's name was Vivian also, and she lived to be 95. I love seeing the generational pictures, and especially how much joy she had in seeing her young great-grandson...and how much he loved it too! The bubbles are fun, and I especially love the picture of your footprints with his. That is a keeper and should be framed! Thank you for sharing this wonderful family time with us. Makes my heart smile!
Such sweet pics! I’m sure she adored James and having him around was precious!!
How cute! So many memories made that weekend, Debby! I love that bubble machine. Looked like a lot of fun and it looks like your MIL has a big backyard!! So glad you guys took this trip; it was well worth it!
betty
it is great he could meet her and that there are photos to remind him of it in the future. James continues to grow like a weed and each inch taller he gets cuter and cuter.
Awwwww.... what beautiful pictures of a beautiful time spent, Debby! Man, with such a wonderful family, I think I'd chose to leave Texas and go wherever my family was. Years between seeing everybody would be way too long for me! But I do know that everybody... and every family... is different. I'm just glad you folks got together all the same. ~Andrea xoxo
A once-in-a-lifetime vacation! I'm so glad James enjoyed his first plane ride ... moreso, his great-grandmother! That last picture tugs at my heartstrings.
WOW! What a wonderful memory for you all. I am so thankful you could all make the trip.

Sounds like a wonderful trip. I'm sure that meeting James was a thrill for your mother in law
How wonderful! So glad you had a great time. I have a bubble machine here and the grands love it... even the teenagers!
I'm so glad you could go! Thanks for sharing. ❤️
