2. Something you've seen recently that was 'cuter than a June bug'?
This was going to be my random but I'm going with James. I went and watched him on Sunday at his swim class. It brought me pure joy.
3. 'You can't buy happiness, but you can buy ice cream and that's pretty much the same thing.' Agree or disagree? Last time you had a serving of happiness ice cream? Dish-cone-milkshake-sundae...which one do you choose?
I'm going to agree. It hasn't been easy here with Mark gone fishing. I struggled for several days with fear of someone breaking in the house. We have our favorite Kirkland vanilla ice cream always in the freezer. We will normally have a one scoop cone maybe twice a month.
Well let's just say I've had a bowl of ice cream 3 times since he left! I do however enjoy a cone a lot. In the bowl of ice cream I put a keto nut blueberry cinnamon granola on it and it brought me happiness.
4. What is one way or area in which you are currently 'swimming against the tide'?
Trying to accomplish something in the house or reading blogs. I've been reading blogs and accomplishing nothing in the house. I need to set new boundaries.
5. Three things you're looking forward to this summer?
More time with James. Maybe a trip to Montana to visit Amber and Dylan. Maybe some company coming here to visit with us. Nothing is set in stone yet.
6. Insert your own random thought here.

I have to agree with that first one because my sons wife's family takes priority. I'm pretty sure his family doesn't exist in her world unless they can benefit her.
That's some fish Mark caught.
What a catch. Have a lovely day. Regine

Wow with that fish Mark caught! Does he catch and release or take them to eat? I can't imagine that much water either since we are in a drought here ourselves. Lovely picture of Amber and Dylan! And James is so adorable in the pool!! Sometimes it is nice to indulge ourselves with a treat with the ice cream. I'm sure when Mark gets back home you will go back to your regular eating habits with it :)

that is one stunning fish, wow. sorry the rain is washing out the fishing trip. my first thought when you were talking about ice cream and then said you were worried over someone breaking in the house and I thought you might think they would steal your ice cream. SORRY I had to say what I thought... it is not a good feeling to live alone, as i found out when bob was in the hospital and the was only one night not 2 weeks
James is cuter than a june bug... i saw a baby owl and my heart melted
Wonderful pictures, Debby. I love them all, especially SweetBabyJames, of course! :-) I've never slept in this house totally alone but I have to say.... if someone entered Mom's little apartment here (the side I stay in) during the night, neither hubby nor youngest daughter would ever hear me scream. So it's kind of like I'm here alone, per se. Maybe because I know they're both here is the reason I'm not afraid, I dunno. Hang in there, kiddo. I'm still praying for things to go smooth with Mark gone. ~Andrea xoxo
That's a beautiful fish. I think your James is so adorable!!
Thank you for sharing Mark's fishing trip. WOW, that is high water.
I am happy to hear you are doing well. Mark will soon be home sweet home to you.

That is some high water for sure!! I try setting a timer when I want to get something done. Even in 30 minutes bursts much can be accomplished. I do well with a list and I put blogging on my list. But I have to cross several things off before I get to that : )
I've been wondering how you're doing while Mark's away. Good on you, going for the BOWL of happiness. (Ha) Sometimes you gotta throw caution to the wind.
James' expression is a delight ... the camera loves him, doesn't it?
That's a huge fish! Glad he got one and hopefully he'll snag some more. James is cuter than a June Bug! Sweet. Hope that fear does not creep up again!
We could use some of that water!
I sympathize with your being alone...Andy's here every night but there are no guarantees. Fingers crossed the time goes fast for you.

Your little James is so precious. I love his smile as he looks at you.
1.All I can say too is I love both of my sons and their families. they are the best!
3. Oh brother...ice cream is my downfall. I can't have it in the freezer...too tempting..when younger son was here we ate far too much of the deadly stuff and now I am paying for it.
I'm glad you are getting along while your Hubby is gone.
That is a fantastic Pike he caught. Hope he can catch more.
Sue
I enjoyed your answers. Hopefully you were able to relax a bit while he was gone. Is that a Northern PIke he caught?
