2. Resister, assister, insister, persister...choose one of the words listed and explain how it relates to you and your life lately.
Honestly I think I can be all them at different times. Sorry, that's all I got.
3. Share a favorite song, book, movie, or television program that features sisters.
The movies that came to mind for me are favorites of mine. "In Her Shoes" - "27 Dresses" - "My Sister's Keeper" and "The Family Stone."
As far as a song goes it has to be "Sisters" from White Christmas. I love watching Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen sing it.
4. August 3rd is national watermelon day...are you a fan? Do you like watermelon flavored candy? Besides eating the melon as is, do you have a good recipe made with watermelon?
Yes I am a fan. I know that I used to enjoy Watermelon Jolly Ranchers. No I do not have a recipe.
5. 'Tis August...what are three things you're looking forward to this month?
Covid being gone. Seeing James and his mom & dad. Maybe another short trip somewhere.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
On our trip home from Montana we found a new huge gas station past Vegas that had Chicago White Castle hamburgers. Now that made our day.

I have seen 2 people with mask in cars and also one person and made fun of them. next time I will not. theold judging the book by its cover is what I do a lot. no sister and don't really even know my brother that well. LOVE watermelon and the the watermelon jolly ranchers were a favorite.
every day for the past 6 weeks, at 10 amm I put frozen watermelon and frozen strawberries cover in water in my blender and eat a frozen slushy for my snack
Funny, the minute I read the words Sisters, I immediately mentally started singing "Sisters" from White Christmas, then it morphed into "we are family" by the Pointer Sisters.
Have a great day!
I picked Sisters from White Christmas too. lol White Castles are all over our area. I know of at least 3 of them within maybe 10 miles of our house. I love them a lot!
Hope your hubby is over Covid and I hope you don't get it. Take care my friend.
Oh I'm so sorry about your trip and I do hope your hubs is better and you continue to stay well. It's such a strange illness with two people doing the exact same thing, going the same places, and one getting sick and the other not. Take care!
What glorious pictures, Debby!!!! And would you believe I never knew White Castle was a Chicago thing? We've always had a White Castle and I thought they were everywhere. *lol* ~Andrea xoxo
So true, Debby. Who can't relate to each of these words at one time or another.
So glad you found the White Castle burgers. All these years later and Tom still speaks fondly of them.
I know that song in White Christmas too.
We have a new gas station called Buckee's - it is huge - no White Castles tho - BBQ.
I know from your picture you brother and father are gone.
I like real watermelon.
Is Covid going to ever go away?
I can understand two people wearing masks in a car - not one. lol
My sister and I LOVE White Christmas too. We sing the Sisters song together. :-)
Praying that Mark is well and that you stay healthy! How is the rest of the family?

My mother had a daughter from her second marriage but I don't call her a sister. She's my mother's daughter from her second marriage. She doesn't like me for some reason and doesn't speak to me. I've tried in the past but finally gave up.
I love watermelon!
I have a sister and we talk over the phone.
Oh goodness, sorry that Covid struck again for you. Glad you made it home and hopefully fully recovered by now. Woohoo for finding a treat you enjoyed in your long drive home!
They opened a White Castle restaurant here in Mesa about a year or so ago. We have yet to make it down there though I do like their frozen mini burgers you can buy from the store. That must have been a sight to see with you and Mark wearing masks in the car while driving. But it was the safest thing to do. You might have given someone a chuckle or two though :)

Covid is a bummer. We didn't get it too bad but it does tend to linger, making us really tired.
I'm an only child but had a good girlfriend through my growing up years that was like a sister to me.
As we grew up we went our separate ways and I lost track of her.
I do remember those songs of Sisters and we are family too.
