Thank you Joyce.
1. August 24th is National Waffle Day...what's something you've 'waffled' on recently?
Most likely my DVR. It's been pixelating several things I record. It's been going on for awhile but then we went out of town and then we were in isolation so I didn't have them out.
Then I've been going on and on about wanting the same DVR because I'm familiar with it. Mark has a different one I don't like. (I'm typing this on Tuesday and they are expected out this afternoon) I do not do well with change!
2. Do you like waffles? Make your own or 'leggo my Eggo? Any favorite toppings or add-ins? Waffles or pancakes-which do you prefer?
Yes, I like waffles but it's been years since I've had any. I used to make my own. I prefer pancakes. Butter and maple syrup on both.
3. Do you have any momentos from this summer (or past summers)? What do you do with them?
I can't think of anything recent but I do have baskets of pine cones from other past summers when we would go to Mammoth Lakes, CA for a week each summer.
4. One thing you'd like to do before summer ends?
We are hoping to go back to see Amber and Dylan since our trip was cut short because of Covid. We are finally out of our 20+ days of isolation.
5. Life is too short to__continually stress over the things that I cannot control. Of course that is easier said than done!
Update: I have an appointment to talk to a therapist virtually in early September. I wanted something in person but nothing was available. Also, I recently had a phone appointment with my primary doctor. Told him about my experience with the psychiatrist. He said she was so wrong to drop me. Anyway, as of yesterday morning I have an appointment to see a new psychiatrist on September 12th, in person.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
This boy loves doing his puzzles. We did see James on Friday night and Saturday evening. I hope to write a post soon. A package of puzzles arrived at his house today, Tuesday, and I can't wait to hear about him opening his package.

It hardly seems possible, but James gets cuter as he grows. I know you agree with me on that point. ha ha.
I am a no memmento person, so that answeres most of the questions. glad you got the sept appt.
James will love your puzzles you sent him.
So you are going to go back to the kids house this summer?
I like waffles and pancakes - lol. Butter and syrup.
I usually get a magnet when I go somewhere as my fridge will attest.
I did not know your therapist dropped you. That is awful! Hugs.
What a smile on James' face! I'm glad he enjoys doing puzzles! They are good for brain development I do believe! I hope you do well with your next appt with the psychiatrist and your therapist appointment too, Debby, meaning that I hope the psychiatrist and the therapist are able to help you with either medicine or coping skills to aid in you feeling better :) I do hope too that you get back up to Montana, especially before winter hits. Good luck with the decision about the DVD player. It is hard to make decisions like that especially if you are comfortable with your previous one. I love pancakes with syrup too. I try to limit how much I eat of them though :)
betty
So glad you were able to get an in-person appointment. Love that picture of James!
Hi Debby,
Looking forward to hearing the dates of your next Montana trip. We just talked to Bobby Jean the other day, our Great Falls friend. :-)
Praying your September 12th appointment goes well.
Thank you for sharing James with us.
xx oo

I'm so glad about the September 12 appointment. Fingers crossed it helps! ❤️
I do like waffles but don't eat them much. When I do it's the frozen kind.
No momentos from this summer since I didn't do anything.
I didn't realize you had a psychiatrist drop you. That's horrible. I hope your new one is much better.
James is just too cute for words.
I can see why James will always put a smile on your face! Sweetie. So sorry about your isolation during your recent trip. Hope a redo is possible for you soon.
Good that you can see another psychiatrist. I saw a physical therapist today and he hinted that my weight, loss of muscle has an emotional aspect to it. I agree.! I hope you get to visit family one more time!
I have been "waffling" on writing some letters to friends. I just can't get motivated to do it.
I really love both waffles and pancakes, especially with the "works".
Wish I didn't like them as much as I do.
My biggest momento from this summer is pounds. I have eaten too well and not what I'm suppose to be eating..and now I'm paying for it.
Glad you are seeing a new psychiatrist in person.thats the way appointments should be.
Happy you saw James and he just gets cuter all the time.
Sue
Congratulations on being free from isolation Debby; that's awesome! I'm happy to hear you're getting a new psychiatrist. Sweet baby James just keeps getting cuter and cuter!
He’s a cutie. Sending hugs.
