On Friday the 23 of September Adam and Gabby invited to have dinner with them and James at the Pelican Hill Resort in Newport Beach, CA. We ate at the Coliseum Grill and this was our view. They had taken James swimming in this beautiful round pool in the afternoon.
We even got to see the sunset while we were eating.
I had salmon with asparagus.
They brought James a lovely bowl of fruit which he ate. He was really tired from swimming and wasn't hungry. He did however have some chocolate ice cream.
We know that Adam and Gabby had some plans in mind for inviting us there which was fine with us. We took James back to his house for the night so they could have an night alone in the the most beautiful room I've ever seen with the view of the ocean.
We were actually staying at their house anyway to watch Roxy & Gracie. This is a piece of chocolate he took home from the hotel room.
Here he is putting on Papa's shoes.
If he went back home with us they told him we would buy donuts in the morning.
Orange, CA has a lot of wild green parrots living there. This was a picture I took of them Saturday morning out in the front of the house. Adam and Gabby came home later that afternoon and we headed home.
This photo is of James at our house on Sunday that same weekend. Gabby had a lunch date with a friend so Adam brought James over to visit with us and watch football with Mark. It was a fun time. He got to play with a train that we had bought at Christmas. He had a good time!
We are heading over to their place tomorrow afternoon, Sunday, to have dinner with them. Hope everyone had a nice weekend.

I'm so happy for you! ❤️
What a beautiful view and your dinner sounds great. We go to the Marriott once a year in that same area. Looks like everyone had a great time!
What a beautiful resort! I know you all enjoyed that so much. James is such a cutie!
Sounds like you all had a perfect weekend and time with your family and sweet James! I know he looks forward to spending time with you both, and vice versa! That all sounds so nice. Thank you for sharing it with us!
He is absolutely the cutest and he looks like he's having a great time with you all. Have fun tomorrow!
It's so good for the soul to spend time with the grands...
He is just adorable. Again I am happy you have time with him, and admit a little envy on my part.
Sounds like lots of fun. Your dinner looks delicious
James is so handsome! And the scenery there is beautiful.💖
Beautiful
What a fabulous experience! Your dinner plate looks amazing, Debby. Salmon and asparagus is my favorite.
Well, I do know you had a wonderful weekend. James is so cute and looks so well behaved. I love chocolate ice cream too. How beautiful there - as beautiful as Hawaii is. Funny such beauty there and such devastation where Sandra is. Life is strange. Hugs.
That is a beautiful view and your food looks delicious! Lots of wonderful grandson time! James is a cutie for sure!
It sounds like you've having a fun-filled weekend with SweetBabyJames and I know that's just what your heart needed, my friend. That sweet boy *does* look tired as he's enjoying his chocolate ice cream. *haha* "Tired" is a good thing! ;-) I know you'll enjoy today's dinner too. ~Andrea xoxoxo
Now that sounds like an absolutely perfect weekend.
I'm so glad you could be with James and the family.
Those kind of days sure give a boost to the morale.

That place they stayed at with the round pool looks so very inviting! I bet in person it was even nicer! Yum on the food too! That is neat how you can help out with watching James and give Gabby/Adam a little bit of a break and still all have fun together!!! (Happy birthday tomorrow!!!!)

Wow, how nice! Lovely view of the pool, too. I know James had fun with you both watching over him while Adam and Gabby had some time together. I am so happy that you're able to enjoy James and I hope you are feeling better.
