Let's talk about the Thanksgiving Feast.
1. Do you celebrate with family, friends or by yourself?
We will be celebrating with Adam, Gabby and James along with Gabby's family. We are all bringing dishes to share. I would say that over all the years of being married we have always celebrated with family.
2. Do you watch the Thanksgiving Day parade from Macy's in New York City? The appearance of Santa at the end signals the start of the Christmas season. What does the day hold for you?
I usually record it and try to watch it.
The beginning of the Christmas season is wonderful and stressful. I love it!
3. What foods are the hit of Thanksgiving Day for you?
Turkey, gravy, dressing, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and some rolls.
I am bringing the green bean casserole and sweet potato balls which is a very old recipe and the hit of the party.
4. We say grace before and after meals. Is grace a part of your Thanksgiving meal?
No it is not normally part of our Thanksgiving meal.

Oh, Sweet Potato Balls! I haven't had those in years! I think the recipe my sister in law used had a large marshmallow somehow wrapped in the middle of the ball. Sounds like too much work for me to do, but the results are wonderful! I usually make a sweet potato casserole, and I sometimes make a separate one with the little marshmallows on top, and the other one has the nuts and brown sugar/butter topping. It's all GOOD!! Yours sounds wonderful. I hope you have a blessed and beautiful day with your sweet family. Happy Thanksgiving!
I don’t think I’ve ever had sweet potato balls. We do the sweet potato casserole with the sugary crunchy topping. It really should be on the dessert table. Lol we do say grace, but before, not after our meals. God knows our hearts and knows who is grateful and who is not. ❤️
the TG dinner you described is what mother always had, just turn the sweet tater mix into baked in a dish with tiny marshmallows on top. and add rice. and 3 kinds of pies and 2 cakes. no wonder I spent the majority of my years over 200 pounds. we also had candied pecans. we alwasy said grace, now we don't do TG dinner or grace.
The food sounds wonderful! I hope you enjoy your day with family as I know you will.
Okay, I traditionally loathe sweet potatoes -- but this recipe sounds delicious. I'm saving it now! Is that your pretty handwriting? I miss old hand-written recipe cards.
Okay I bet you are a great cook. I am thrilled you will be with family - that will be fun. Love James pj's and James!
James looks cute in his pajamas. Happy Thanksgiving!
Those are the cutest pajamas! It sounds like you have a nice day planned! Enjoy! Loved your answers! Have a nice week.

Have a wonderful time! We don't do anything special for TG Day, but gratitude is an important part of my everyday life.
Sweet potato balls sound interesting. Enjoy your Thanksgiving.
