2. What are two or three things that bring you comfort?
Visiting Amber and Dylan in Montana. Spending time with James, Adam and Gabby. Going to bowling on Wednesday to get in some girl time.
3. Something beautiful you saw today? (or yesterday depending on when it is you're answering this question)
Nothing is coming to mind so I will go with my pictures from a few days ago that I shared in #6.
4. Have you ever used a typewriter? Tell us a memory associated with that.
Yes, I loved using a typewriter. I remember learning it in High School. I went on to get a job, through the teacher, at a place called E.L. Essley Machinery Co. It was my first job and I did several different things in the office. Back then typing was a must!
I also worked for the Corporate office of Ace Hardware and typed up the paperwork for new stores. I also worked for Hormel Foods Regional Office in Oak Brook, IL and did a lot of typing there.
5. Something you are grateful for today.
I am grateful that my family is healthy and happy.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
Sharing 2 photos from our drive home from Montana. Didn't take a lot of photos this trip. We had clouds all the way from Great Falls, MT to Las Vegas, NV driving home. We drove though some rain too.

I couldn't wait to get to high school to be able to take typing classes. I learned on a heavy duty manual typewriter without the letters on the keys. Then I moved to an electric... on I loved that thing!!
It's hard to know if it would have been better to stay in one place. We moved when I was a kid. I miss the old place, but maybe it was all for a reason. I think it was.
Your answer to number one fits me perfectly the whole thing! I see something beautiful all day everyday and you know who it is haha it's my big beautiful boy
How cute James calls his maternal grandmother Howie :) A little unique for sure! I know you'll enjoy your time with him! Again, I can't believe it has been 5 years since Gabby and Adam got married! I know they'll enjoy their trip to Fiji! I learned how to type on an old fashioned typewriter; self taught myself one summer before I entered high school. I absolutely loved typing; still do to this day! Such beautiful pictures you shared from your drive! Although the drive is a long one, there are scenic sights along the way that help to break up the monotony of the long drive! I think in the generation we were raised we were so fortunate in not having the technology and the like that subsequent generations had. It made it a more peaceful upbringing I think!

I'm sure you will have a fun time with James! Enjoy!
I lived close to a lot of my cousins growing up and enjoyed the family get togethers for Sunday lunch or holidays.
I enjoyed your pictures. James is so blessed to have all of you to help take care of him! We are going to have to plan a meet up someday.
That first photo is astonishing!
Excepting that sentence about church, your response to #1 could have come out of my Tom's own mouth. Isn't perspective a funny thing?
I too am grateful that I was brought up in a church going Christian home. The people there were my extended family and friends for life.
Comfort comes from family and doing things...even mundane everyday things with my Hubby.
Beauty from the leaves beginning to turn and the sun filtering through the rain clouds.
Typing term papers in high school and college were a pain with the lack of ability to erase..white out and paper getting grungy looking.

Your pictures are gorgeous! I, too, took typing in school and have used those skills my whole life!
I'm so glad you will have time to spend with James! ❤️
Beautiful pictures!! Have so much fun with James. I'm sure he'll love the time with all of his grandparents.
Did you notice that the three things that b ring you joy - are all people related!!!
Those photos on your drive home were fabulous.
Have fun with James.
I loved my typing class. In fact, I took it again my Senior year. I knew it would be an easy A!
Sounds like you're going to be busy. Enjoy those grands!
I remember typing class in high school. We had an old manual typewriter and home and learning on the electric ones was fun. My dad used his manual a lot because he said it helped keep the arthritis out of his fingers
Hi Debby,
Fiji.. oh my what a fun way to celebrate. And how wonderful for you to have James time.
I love that he calls his grandmother Howie. Cute. ;-)
Enjoy!!
And the photos from the drive home are beautiful.
I wish family lived closer together. My MIL does a cousins lunch with my daughters and nephews once a month, we join in too.
Those pictures were gorgeous
