2. September 13th is National Peanut Day...do you like peanuts? Your favorite dish that contains peanuts?
I love peanut butter. I can't say that I am a big fan of peanuts but I eat all the other nuts. I can't think of a favorite dish. I do love peanut butter mixed into my yogurt.
3. Something you're currently 'nuts' about?
Well of course it's our grandson James. We will be seeing him on Friday this week to babysit and then again next Tuesday.
4. Your favorite Peanuts character? There are several quizzes online if you're curious...I took two and got the same character for both so I'm sure it's accurate lol. (Click here for the link)
I was never a big fan of the Peanuts characters. I guess I have always liked Snoopy. I took the quiz and they told me I was Marcie. I never even remember seeing her.
5. Tell us about a job you worked 'for peanuts'?
I haven't had many jobs. I guess that working on the PTA was 'for peanuts'! However, it was also a very important job.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
I have to be honest. I am struggling reading posts so if you don't see me around it doesn't mean that I don't care. Life is just extremely stressful right now and it hasn't slowed down for 4 months. I am pushing myself to deep clean the house. Amber and Dylan are visiting in October.
The littlest of things are stressing me out. My mind never shuts down. Just pray that I find some peace soon. Also bowling started last week Wednesday, along with all the physical therapies and doctor's appointments for Mark and me, so it makes it even harder to get around to reading everyone's Hodgepodge. I'm trying my best.
Mark is making great progress. This injury can take up to a year. His knee bend is now at 90 and it needs to get to 110 or 120. He did go from 70 to 90 at therapy in the month of August which is great.
Finally the doctor has changed the setting on his brace for full movement so physical therapy can now use more equipment with him. Of course he also added 8 more weeks of therapy which would go through October. He has not been released for driving. Please pray that the doctor will release him at the end of this month. That will help so much.
My lungs are not where they were a few months ago and it seems as they this is as good as they will be now. I am doing okay, obviously the stress doesn't help, but my oxygen levels are in good shape.
Take care and God Bless all of you.

I can attest to the fact stress kills the desire to blog or read blogs. Love that kid eating the corn, I do love corn on the cob myself. We watched 9/11 for weeks and every year since. I did not watch it this time, i see no reason to watch it after 22 years, there is no way we need to be reminded of it because we will never forget. there is enough chaos in the world currently without going over and over the past.
Peanuts are my favorite of all nuts. Raised in The peanut state of GA we had them all the time. I love them roasted, toasted, raw and boiled. currently i am eating 1/2 cup of boiled peanuts in my rice pasta, to get protein. they are a legume just like all the dry beans and full of protein.
Hi Debby, I am sorry it is hard for you right now. I am sure your schedule is draining. James is such a cutie, a light in your life for sure. I woke up from a deep sleep and decided to get up for awhile. Maybe we can meet up after Mark is all better and the weather is cooler. Headed to the Orange Circle today for lunch with friends. Enjoy your time with James!
Me, too, about the Peanuts characters. Cute, but not something I made a point of reading/watching.
Thanks for the tip about adding peanut butter to my yogurt. I'm going to try that this evening!
Please, take good care of yourself. 💛
The Peanuts cartoon strip was my favorite as a kid, and I loved all the TV specials.
Wish Mark and you all the best as you continue on the road to full recovery, Debby. Give James a hug for me!
James is so cute eating that corn! Hoping you and Mark will feel better soon.
Hi Debby,
Yippee that Amber and Dylan are coming your way. :-)
Sending hugs and prayers as you continue to heal and caring for Mark too.

We tend to forget too easily. Very true. Then someone ? decides not to show the footage anymore because it is too damaging to minds. Well people - kids - everyone ought to know - so that they can be proud of America and know it is the greatest country on earth. Sorry that is one of my pet peeves.
I am nuts about James too - so sweet.
Glad Mark's knee is getting better. Do your best - forget the rest Debby!
I didn't watch too much of the 911 coverage..its too real and close to my emotions. Worked at the NY convention center just the week before 911. Our floor mgrs. are all NY Firemen and were very involved in rescues that day. I will have to repost my post from that day at another time..Its just too close to home.

Hi Debby...sending you a big hug. You're in a particularly rough season, but just keep taking things one day at a time. Every little bit helps when it comes to a deep clean. I'm glad to hear Mark is doing well and making progress. You're on the home stretch so keep on keeping on and you'll get there. I'm glad you have James to brighten your days.
How scary to have your husband on a plane on 9/11. I'm sure you are thankful that his plane was sitting on the runway and not in the air. I'm sorry you feeling stressed. James is adorable eating the corn on the cob!
Whoa - peanut butter mixed in yogurt?! Why have I not tried this before?! Thanks for the tip!
I can't imagine how scary it would have been to have your husband on a plane on that day - so thankful that he was okay! I'm so sorry about the stress in your life and I hope your week gets better!
I'm sorry things are so stressful for you. I know how much the stress can drag you down. Just make sure you take a little time for yourself and take good care of you.
I'm praying that things ease up for you soon. ❤️
