2. Do you think there's any truth to the saying 'an apple a day keeps the doctor away'. Of the following healthy habits which do you find easiest to incorporate into your life and which is the most difficult for you to adopt-
adequate sleep, a balanced diet, plenty of water, eat breakfast, don't smoke, exercise, limit alcohol, include fruits and vegetables in your diet, manage stress, limit screen time
I do believe that there is some truth in that. I eat a banana everyday. I like pears too but forgot to buy some yesterday. I try to get a good nights sleep and eat a balanced diet, along with drinking water.
I used to eat breakfast but I'm just not hungry in the morning anymore. I don't smoke. I'm trying not to drink except socially but I am having issues with that. I don't seem to have control at home so I am trying to stop.
I exercise most days and I do try to eat fruit and vegetables. I'm having trouble managing my stress right now.
3. Who taught you how to drive? Do you enjoy driving? Would you rather be the driver or the passenger? Do you have a favorite scenic drive near you?
I believe my dad taught me to drive. I know we did those driving machines in High School. I would rather be the passenger. I do however like to drive but I won't drive at night. Well for now, I really enjoy our drives to Great Falls, Montana.
If you look at this map, you could say that we leave from Corona and take the 15 freeway all the way to Great Falls, MT.
4. What small habit has had a big act on your life?
I seriously can't think of anything. I do however mail birthday cards to family and friends all the time and enjoy sending Christmas cards too. People appreciate that!
5. Tell us about something nice that happened to you recently.
I'm going to go with the birthday lunch I had with my friend Kendra. Since I'm not able to bowl anymore, it meant a lot to me to get in some socializing.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
James' actual birthday was last Wednesday and we went out to dinner with Adam, Gabby and James. We went to Benihana's which was his choice. It was a great meal.....

Right there with you, Debby, on managing stress and drinking. I don't care for fruit but drink lots of water ... those flavoring drops really help.
Those Japanese steakhouses are such fun for the littles. I'm so glad James had a good time!
I haven't been to a Benihana in years, but my youngest daughter especially used to enjoy that whole experience. I know we had one of her birthday dinners there. Hubs is going to teach himself to do the volcano onion on the griddle. We'll see : ) That is quite the drive you make! I'm sure there are some places with pretty scenery along the way.
Apples aren't my go to fruit but I do enjoy one now and then. I have some in the cooler bin that need to be made into a pie very soon, before they get too mushy. Problem is I'm not suppose to eat the pie but..I may have to cheat on my diet..boo...
I don't mind driving but as I get older the night driving isn't for me. Learned to drive in high school and drivers training.
Something nice..I got 2 phone calls from far away friends lately. That was so wonderful and a welcome phone call hug !!
Sue
I do like apples but don't eat them very often.
I don't know who really taught me to drive but I remember being out with my mother and she was criticizing everything I did. I got mad at her and I slammed on the brakes. We were in a school parking lot that was empty. After that she wouldn't let m drive anymore. My dad was much more patient with me.
Glad you could have lunch out with your friend. That's an unusual choice of a restaurant for a young one, a good one, though. Fun. I like the photo of all of you!
Looked like so much fun at Benihana's with James - he was so bright eyed! I like apples, I don't love apples. I try to eat them as they are so healthy for you. Glad you had lunch with your friend.
I can tell you one great trait you have - you always remember everybody and you care about everybody. I have driver's ed in school too. We all used to - not sure anymore.
I love Benihana’s. The first time I went there was in 1977 in San Francisco and I was 9 months pregnant. It was a fun place to go with a bunch of friends! I haven’t been since we moved up here although there is a Japanese hibachi in our town I hear is good.
Enjoyed your answers and as always James puts a smile on my face!
Thanks for the pictures and for map showing your drive to MT. That looks like one fancy restaurant! We haven't eaten in a restaurant in years.
How long does it take you to get to Montana? I have been as far as Utah by car when we went to Zion and Bryce. I thought of you today when I bought some Hallmark Ornaments. I bought the Mickey & Minnie one for me and a few others. I also bought a Nightmare before Christmas one for my grandson. I also got the chipmunk one holding a snowman. I may by a few more too. Good that you are exercising!
What a fun birthday dinner...especially for a young guy! We used to let our kids choose the birthday dinner spot. One year we were eating at Wawa!!?!?
