2. Do you prefer 'material' gifts or 'experience' gifts? If you answered experience, tell us about one you've received and truly enjoyed.
This is a tough one for me to answer. I've always enjoyed material gifts but I don't need much anymore. The best experience gift is having my grandson James. Being 67 when we was born, this is an experience I want to have for several more years.
3. Is brown a color featured prominently in your home decor? Your wardrobe? What's a favorite brown thing you own? Of the brown foods listed here which one is your favorite and/or most often consumed... brown sugar, brown rice, pretzels, coffee, dates, cloves, German chocolate cake, whole wheat bread?
I'm going to go with yes, but it is mainly in all of our beautiful wooden furniture and brown leather couches. Not much in my wardrobe. I have a brown corduroy jacket. Well, I do have coffee everyday. Otherwise it would be brown rice.
4. Which 'Charlie Brown' character do you relate to most? If you're not sure, you can take a fun quick quiz by clicking here-Which Charlie Brown Character Are You? or the one found here-Charlie Brown Quiz. I got the same answer on both.
I came up as Charlie Brown in the second test. I couldn't find the first one.
5. What's a favorite item you've purchased this year?
Nothing is coming to mind. I have been getting some long sleeve tops from LuLaRoe which I like. I'm having so many issue with bruises because of my Xarelto mediction for A-fib that I need to cover my arms when I go out. It's so embarrassing.

I look forward to doing some grandparent days once the kids move back and are closer. Happy birthday to your hubs! Enjoy the celebration!
I am so happy for you that you can see James on a regular basis. I wish I had the same option but I don't so I will just be grateful for facetime and cell phone texts.
Happy Birthday to Mark - I’m sure the Saturday gathering will be awesome! Sorry about the bruising on your arms. I hope that goes away for you soon.
Sweet photos, Debby. I was 66 when our first grandchild was born, so I'm right there with you. Sorry about the bruising. Happy Birthday to Mark. enjoy the celebration this weekend.
We were out of the country for grandparent's day at our oldest daughter's school this year and we were sad to miss it! Happy birthday to Mark!
Happy Birthday, Mark! Enjoy your celebration this weekend, Debby. Blessings!
Right there with you on the bruising, Debby! Like my late mother, I can barely bump into something and my arm reflects it like a tattoo. Tom, too. Doc says that's because we've little to no fat under the skin ... why can't that be on my hips, instead? LOL.
Have a great time at the birthday celebration!
Love that picture from last year of your hubby and James. Happy Birthday Mark!!
I like both material and experience gifts but I really don't "need" anything any longer. I love the times spent with family the most, Like the adventures we had for our 60th wedding anniversary last January. That was a treasured time I will never forget.
You can see shades of brown all over our home. I'm a very Fall, warm colors kind of person.
Love my coffee and sinfully rich german chocolate cake..yumm

Happy Birthday to Mark! Again, I'm so happy you are close to James and can see him often.
You are so blessed to have James nearby and get to enjoy him so much. We missed out on so much with our only grandchild since we lived 1500 miles away. Now he is 25 and we rarely communicate unless I initiate it, and then I have to wait for any response. It makes me sad, but I can't change that. Happy Birthday to your hubby. Hope you have a great time this weekend with the family.
my years in Savannah from birth to 10 years old, I loved living in my aunts back yard, with my cousin next door and being able to play in the fields of flocks blooming, hiding in the old chimney which was the only thing left of a house, dirt streets to play hopscotch in, mud and puddles to wade in, accross the street to put pennies in bubble gum machines and sometimes get a coke of ice cream on a stick for a nickel. it was country living but in the city also. a bus ride on Saturday to watch a 50 cent morning of movies with cartoons.
the next 5 years of child hood were in Kentucky which was my favorite time of all my childhood. I don't like gifts, but do love cash to buy what I want. I am picky and like only certain things. the gift of experience I liked was 2 hours with my friend Diane and our brand new DSLR Rebel cameras, traipsing around in the reserves here in Bradenton
Best part about where I grew up was that it was safe and everyone in the neighborhood knew everyone.
I did the second quiz. I'm Marcie
Happy Birthday to your sweetheart. Enjoy all the family time Debby.
And you do look so happy in the photo. You have a beautiful smile.

When you walked to and from school - did you get to come home for lunch? How sweet to go to his school for everyone bring a loved one. I thought you really do look pretty in that blue - a n ice outfit. Can't say much for the color brown myself. lol
