I have to admit that it is a beautiful drive to Montana. We get on the 15 Freeway here in CA near our house and it takes you all the way to Great Falls, MT. I know where some of these were taken but for now just enjoy them.
This is called "Our Lady of the Rockies" and it is in Butte, MT. It's never easy to get a picture of it when you are driving.
A beautiful rock formation.
I always enjoy seeing the haystacks.
Native people stampeded vast herds of bison off this massive semicircular cliff, using them for for food, clothing, shelter and provisions. We went there a few years ago.
A bridge I always love seeing each year.
Beautiful countryside. I always enjoy the clouds in the sky.
I believe this is a section of Arizona that we drive through.
The whole drive is so pretty except for driving through Salt Lake City. It seems to go on forever.
I always enjoy seeing the cattle along the way.

That is a very scenic drive. It's absolutely beautiful. I would much rather drive somewhere like that than through a busy city.
Beautiful photos!!
Looks like an amazing trip...such beautiful scenery. I've never been out west, so I can only see it virtually through pictures. Thank you for sharing the beauty with us. How long of a trip was that for you? (How many days/nights on the road?) Yeah, I much prefer the country to the cities, except when we need a place to stop!
Great pictures! How long does it take to drive?
I really like craggy- type mountains with all the rock formations. I haven’t been to Montana in about 30 years. I like road trips way better than flying. I used to enjoy flying but they cram people in like cattle and I don’t like that.
Beautiful photos of a beautiful part of the country. Thank you for sharing
We used to go to Missoula, MY from northern NM every year, so your pictures brings back warm memories. :)
Missoula, MT.
What a beautiful part of the country, so majestic. Its been years since we traveled that direction. I love, love, love the mountains and the fields with cattle and hay.
Thanks so much for sharing with us.
