Of course I am grateful for my family and that everyone is healthy and doing well.
Also at this time in my life, turning 74 in October, I am extremely grateful for having my grandson James who turns 7 in October.
4. Breakfast, lunch, dinner...which meal of the day do you enjoy most? What's your go-to comfort food?
I do like when we have some eggs for breakfast but that doesn't happen very often. We do however have dinner each night. Mark does most of the cooking.
Go to comfort food is pizza. We have frozen pizzas in our freezer which are Chicago pizzas.
5. This week the world remembers the tragic events of 9/11. Do you mark the day in any way? How do historical events shape your perspective on your personal challenges?
I will never forget that day. No, I do not mark that day in any way. It was absolutely one of the worst days in history for me.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
We spent Saturday evening with Adam, Gabby and James. They made delicious steaks, baked potatoes and awesome green beans. Played some Bunko with James, worked on a puzzle and Mark played connect 4 with him.
I had a busy week with a hair appointment on Tuesday. My hair had gotten so long because I couldn't go when we got home from Montana because I was so sick with my lungs. It feel so good to have it done.
Wednesday I had a doctors appointment with Pain Management. Thursday I had and MRI. Those are never fun.
Then on Friday I had an appointment at the DMV. Time to renew my license before my birthday on the 3rd of October. I got the Real ID too even though I do have a passport. So it was a busy week.
I have to say that my legs are getting stronger. I'm still using the walker but not as often. I am doing pretty good with my left leg now but I'm still very cautious. My right leg has been back to normal for a few weeks now.
I only have a few more appointments coming up and I need to get some bloodwork done. We are hoping to go to Montana at the end of the month. I will be with Amber and Dylan for my birthday which will be nice. So all your prayers are welcome if this can all go as planned.
Love you guys.....

I'm so happy to hear that your legs are getting stronger.
I am so happy you are now going to the appts you were waiting on for such a long time and hope the results are good and so happy to hear the legs are better... James is just so cute and a blessing to have him so close to visit with.
Hi Debby, it was good to read that you are feeling better. Another trip to Montana, exciting!!!
Continuing to pray for you.
Carla
Hi Debby, I am glad your legs are doing better. I need to get a haircut. My husband does most of the cooking too. I am glad you are going to visit your family again. I will keep you in prayer.
I love getting my hair done and am glad you were able to make that happen. Sounds like you're slowly improving which is good to hear. I'm glad you've got a trip in the works too. Having travel to look forward to is nice. Enjoy your day!
Yes, love, hugs, and prayers!
You do love all your kids and you always have! I wish I could spend more on clothes than I do - but I really can't find things I like.
I will never forget 9-11 and I hope Mackenzie is not born tomorrow - but if that happens - so be it. lol Your birthday is my niece's who I truly love. Sounds like you are feeling a bit stronger.
Going back to Amber's?
It is so good to read that you are feeling better and looking forward to another trip soon. I love that your family brings you so much joy. That is exactly the way it should be.
It's so exhausting having so many doctors' appointments and I pray your health problems will abate soon, Debby. One day at a time, as they say. Sending lots of prayers for healing, safe travels and God's blessings!
I hope I never stop feeling gutted by 9/11. Tho' I never knew anyone there, there's a big part of my heart that still mourns.
I'm so glad you're experiencing some improvement. Agreed, all these medical appointments can take the wind out of our sails.
Boy you did have a busy week. Last year before that DMV law went into effect, I had to take a written exam so was thrilled we don’t need to do that anymore. I passed it but the weeks before I did take a lot of time to study.
I order probably 60% of my clothes online except for jeans unless they are the same brand and size.
It’s good there is some improvement, Debby. While it may not be as fast as you want, there is some positive.
God bless you!
