2. How did you learn to cook? If you have children did you teach or encourage them to cook? Do you like to follow a recipe or is your cooking style more 'let's wing it'.
Honestly I'm not sure but I would say my grandmother's and my mom. I believe I tried to show Adam and Amber how to cook but I have to say, they are both excellent cooks, way better than me.
3. Last time you bit off more than you could chew? Elaborate.
I guess I could say believing my doctor about what Dupixent could do for my COPD and now I am struggling each day and praying I will get my, normal to me, lungs back.
4. When did you last say 'the more the merrier' and mean it?
I'm thinking some of the holiday dinners at Adam and Gabby's. They do a great job at entertaining family and I can't wait to go there tomorrow for Thanksgiving dinner.
I am bringing onion dip/chips, thin pretzels with whipped cream cheese, fudge, and gravy, along with See's chocolate turkeys for the kids.
5. Write an acrostic using the word T-H-A-N-K-S.
T - Thankful for my Family
H - Thankful for my Husband
A - Thankful for my children Adam and Amber
N - Thankful for the Nice blessing God has given us having James in our life
K - Thankful for the Kindness I feel from all of you
S - Thankful for all the Special things God has given to me in my life

We celebrated Mark's birthday with Adam and Gabby on Saturday. We went to the most amazing place to eat dinner. Old Brea Chop House Here are a few photos .......

I like your acrostic. I think I just learned to cook by watching others and I'm pretty sure that's how both of my kids learned as well. My daughter would ask a lot of questions when she would cook something.
Looks like Mark had a great birthday celebration.
Happy Birthday to Mark! I am sorry to read about your COPD and struggles with your doctor. I come from a cooking/baking family and it feels like it's always been part of me. Then when I was a kid, I told my dad there were certain foods I didn't want to eat and he was fine with that as long as I learned more about cooking for myself. Best thing ever. Then as a single gal I cooked for my girlfriends and that was a great fun too. Cooking and baking now is just a joy to me, even on days when I don't wanna do it, there's still something nice about making stuff at home.
With regard to decorating. What about just a small string of holiday lights?
Your acrostic was very good! And I am praying for you as you recover from the side effects of that nasty drug! I am so sorry it did more harm than good for you. I hope your Thanksgiving day with the family will be just what you need! Love the pictures of Mark's birthday dinner/dessert with the family. What a blessing to see the three men/generations together like that! (((HUGS)))
What a nice picture of all your men. That dessert looks yummy! I like your acrostic and focusing on all we have to be thankful for helps so much. Praying the effects of the drug leave your system quickly and you feel better before the holidays. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
I last few photos of your 3 guys made me see how much James looks like his dad and he is getting taller and thinner by the day, still cute as a button but ore on the manly side. Happy Birthday to Mark and I like that cute little dessert plate.. looks good to me
Hi Debby,
I am thankful for our long time blog friendship. We have been friends for a long time. I continue to pray for you and your family.
I enjoyed the photos you shared in your random. Such handsome fellas.
Happy Thanksgiving,
Carla
Good morning, Debby.
First, I feel so bad for you about your COPD and that drug. That must be so hard for you. You've had a rough year, healthwise. How nice, to celebrate Mark's birthday with the other two men in your life. James, is growing lean and tall. They do grow so fast. I liked your acrostic - Happy Thanksgiving
To the best of my memory, I learned to cook in high school Home Economics. (The kitchen was rarely used at home.)
Love these images of Mark's birthday.
Prayers for your health!
It's a terrible thing when the drugs that are supposed to help us hurt us instead. I'm reminded of Danny's horrible reaction to Amiodarone. Praying that good health will return to you and soon, Debby. Blessings!
Long time no see Debby. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. :)
Love your acrostic Debby and the photos of your Men...
It looks like a wonderful celebration for birthdays.
My prayers are continuing for your health issues and praying for healing from the damage of that medicine.
Enjoy your family day tomorrow.
Blessings
Sue
Gosh, Debby, this post was a lot of hard work! I enjoyed it. Never thought of whipped cream cheese with pretzels.
I hope you have a great time tomorrow with your family.
