On Saturday James had a birthday party to attend. Mark took him and James had a nice time. It was one of those bouncy trampoline places.
However, he was the only boy who showed up. Him and this girl have been friends for several years now because they have been at the same house for daycare since they were little, before school started.
Then Papa took him to play miniature golf. They had a fun time together.
Then on Sunday morning they went to the Bass Pro Shop. Mark, Adam and James are going to Mammoth Lakes for 4 days in August. They will be staying in a camper at the campground.
We spent 18 years going up to Mammoth Lakes. I'm so excited for them. I can't go anymore because of the altitude with my COPD. I'm really excited for them.
They went to Bass to get James a fishing pole. Of course he found a cute stuffed fish that he wanted.
When Adam and Gabby got home we ordered some food and then we headed home. Gabby said that after we left James went and laid in their bed and fell asleep immediately.
It was a good time with him. Even though I couldn't join them because of my ankle, knee cut and sciatica, James and I had a great time playing games. I treasure every moment I have with him.

Sounds like James had a fun time over the weekend with you and Mark. Mammoth lakes is beautiful! We are going to Vegas this weekend for a few days. I wrote about it at my blog. I wrote about my grandson too! I hope you feel better soon!💗🙏💗
James is such a delightful child, Debby, and I know you treasure every moment you can spend with him. Sending love and prayers!
What a perfect weekend!
You have no idea how much I envy the time you get to spend with James. The distance between Alabama and Oregon does not allow for grand weekend visits.
What a fabulous weekend you had. James is so cute and growing like a weed.
I hope he catches a bunch of fish with his new fishing pole.
Love the picture of James sleeping with the fish.

OH, I LOVE that last picture of James sleeping with his new "pet fish". That is so cute! I know he is going to love that fishing trip with his Daddy and Grandpa! Sounds like you all had a great weekend with James. What a blessing to be able to do those kinds of things together while he's still young enough to enjoy them and wants to spend time with you. Yes, treasure every moment. They grow up way too fast. Our only grandson lives in Maine and is 26 years old now. We never were able to be together more than maybe once or twice a year due to the distance, and so now he really doesn't think about us that much and it is very hard to even manage to get a phone call. But we think of him every day and pray for him. We are thankful he is healthy and seems to be doing well.
Thank you for sharing these photos with us. I love to see the fun you all have together.
I am happy you have this time Debby. I know how much it means to you. Thank you for sharing your family with us.
xo
I'm so glad Adam and Gabby enjoy spending time with you and Mark! These are the days James will remember all the days of his life!
PS - That last image of James and the fish is priceless!
I am glad you get some alone time with James. He is so cute - what a towhead. I think games are more fun than miniature golf myself. I know it means a lot to you and him.
He is getting so big and grown up! Thank you for sharing him with us. ❤️
So glad you got to spend time with James. I bet he's going to love going on that trip. Love the picture of him sleeping with his fish.
It does sound like you had a good time with James
